We need AH without RMT option

Just add it.

Or at the very least remove forcing to add people in friendlist just to trade
And make trading more viable ingame.
More players in Trade channels, specific Trade channels (classes, runes,…)

Absolutely. Going to 3rd party sites to trade is dumb.

After using the trading system in Last Epoch, I have to scratch my head at why Diablo 4 doesn’t have something similar. It would be a great quality of life addition, and it would open up trading to people who don’t like interacting with the current system, or who are a bit more socially shy in general. I can’t see any downsides.

Yep just make it same as auction house in WoW problem solved. Put NPC in all major towns.

Multiple sections for Equipment, Runes, Summoning mats etc. all traded vs gold with search options. No need for 3rd party site anymore. Duped items would poof when put into AH so that could be solved too.

This will come with a season update, like armory is coming Next, etc.

You will see

One day… Diablo and WoW will be indistinguishable from each other……

Don`t you remember the hate when AH was in D3?

That was cause they made A2 bugs in infernal make you die one hit and hide all good items in A4 LOL.

LIKE you forced to use AH to move on. With the intention to make you buy items one day or grind Act 1 infernal the next 6 weeks.

And they released it with real money attached to it.

Yes I do. The D3 forum was filled with people raging mad over both the gold and RM AH. People who want an auction house have no idea what will really happen. Prices will skyrocket for good gear and drops will plummet to keep the game from being filled with BIS. People will be forced to use the AH. Whales will have the best builds and everyone else will be pissed off.

It’s a good thing the developers haven’t forgotten what happened and have no interest in repeating that mistake.

I think just adding AH will solve nothing. Since botting still exists and will even likely grows stronger, which will make everything super expensive. Also, botters can just buy out superiem stuff and RMT, which I would say leave mediocre items for players who just want some decent gear and save them some grinding time. Without strict ban, trade will always be like this. Play with no trade is the best way for now. That is why ladder in ssf mode is actually making more sense for me.

But they are repeating. Ancestral items should be account-bound on pickup, just like mythics. Otherwise of course they are making the same mistake, and make it even worse because people have to use 3rd party tools and may get scammed there.

There are only two ways for trade:

  • through official AH, so by using official tools
  • pretty much disabled in general and droprates and game mechanics adjusted to that

By “disabled” trade I mean it could be enabled with some short time limit or something like that, so if you are farming items with your friends and drop mythic that you don’t need - then you can just give it to him before it gets account-bound.

Current trade is pure RMT cancer that has all of the flaws but barely any merits.

Except Buzzard DOESN’T Want it That Simple They Want THEIR Cut That’s Why They Added The RMT In The 1st Placle And When The IRS Got involved Wanting Their Cut Well… :person_facepalming:

There is no need for trade if you are playing the game efficiently. Drop rates and game mechanics have already been adjusted to that. As long as there is trade there will be bots and duplicators who will game the system to scam people or make money. Trade is not necessary. Yes; there are people for whom trading is the game but they are part of the problem and should not be catered to.

Nah, action houses ruin games with grossly over priced items

Exactly…

Let me explain it. I have a high level professional IT position and I have lots of disposable income. When D3 launched I spent $4.000 - $5,000 dollars a year playing Diablo and I am a small fish compared to some people. Elon Musk plays Diablo; you will be competing with him for gear. People selling gear on the AH will price their gear towards whales like me making it unaffordable for most people.

Drops, gear and gold, will be reduced because so much gear will become available through the Auction House. It will become the primary source for outfitting your builds and you will not be able to afford the good stuff. This is why (anyone who was on the D3 Blizzard forum knows) this forum was an angry dumpster fire and players hated the AH, both gold and RM and demanded it be removed.

The developers know this and will not add an AH.

We’ve been asking for this since the game launched! The price fixers in the game don’t want the AH because it will ruin their money making strategy. They need to give us the AH and just remove trading all together and get rid of the trade chat.

Do we need an AH? Yes.
Will Blizzard bring it? No.
Is it stupid? Hell, yes.

The price fixers “want” an AH. It will make it easier to sell their product.

WRONG they can’t post an item up for 100g knowing it’s worth 1m because someone will click buy and poof it’s gone for 100g. It stops them from scamming people into thinking the item is cheap so they can’t buy low and sell high!

Nope. I’m 95% sure that these nerfed droprates of literally everything this season and adding runes to mythic craft was made with trade in mind. Too bad it doesn’t work at all if you don’t also do RMT or sell some super item for 41546598726 trillions.
