We need a Tier 5

I am level 90 sorc. I’ve noticed I have hit a brick wall in terms of NM dungeon pushing with my ice chard build. Highest I can go is 60, and that’s with extreme caution. (yeah other builds can go higher, but that requires a lot of target building for one area of content, and they still get 1 shot). You shouldn’t have to target build for 1 area of content. You shouldn’t be forced into 1 meta build. That’s a topic and balancing issues for somewhere else.

What I have noticed is you hit a plateau in damage and survivability. Any upgrades you may obtain are very very trivial, where it doesn’t even matter. We need to have progression to reach these areas of content. This is for any class, and any build.

Casual, Veteran, everyone should be able to progress in their own time and way to get to all the content. If they expect us to progress further into these dungeons without a massive headache, we need another world tier, better uniques, re-worked uniques, aspects, gear, gems, and to some extent class balancing.

I wanted to keep it short and sweet. Disagree, yell, cry. It’s the forums. Have at it.

I believe once they finish this game in two years (once the expansion is out); you’ll see noticeable improvements.

That’s pretty sad if it takes them 2 years + an expansion to deal with ‘now’ vanilla issues. But yeah, You should expect the game to get overall better down the line, that’s expected.

It’s likely not far off since it’s the ideal method to smooth out later leveling by knocking down T3 and T4 and to increase the difficulty of high tier dungeons.

I don’t mind Solo but if you can Solo Tier 100. I also don’t see a point in groups.

Why do you need a tier 5? So you can have the same boring gameplay loop scaled up a little bit higher?

I can’t think of a single useless feature to add to the game right now besides a 5th Tier.

WT5 apparently got Datamined on twitter, maybe we will see it Season 1.

What they need is content from WT1/2 all the way up to WT5, not just WT1/2. Soon as you hit WT3 and 4 there is nothing to do except mindless boring grind in NM dungeons, and this isn’t unfortunately going to change anytime soon - even with ‘buffs’ to the dungeons, don’t expect it to be that significant, so instead of running NM T50+s for 1000s of times, they might cut it down to 750 at most.

That’s fair. The point being, So it adds further gear upgrades for higher end NM pushes and Lilith. They shouldn’t add in higher tier NM dungeons until later seasons.

What’s scary is your probably right, it’s not far off and it’s more than likely slapped together being worse that t4.

That fleshes out with seasons, and future content. I am talking about the now, and getting gear upgrades that matter for higher NM pushes and Lilith.

At least finding something with better stats would make you feel like you’re making some progress. Right now gear upgrades almost stop in the mid-70’s.

Wow, you’d be getting what, Primal items instead of Ancestral?
You’re just shifting the issues up a floor, it changes nothing but another couple dozen hours of gameplay farming.

In the end it’s just scaling / progression tweaks.

They shouldn’t need to do Torment 32 or anything but there’s an obvious gap between 50-70 and 70+. Dropping the other Tiers down giving bonus exp to those lower levels in addition to scaling exp from NM Tiers will juice progression a lot and potentially they can improve end-game itemization.

It just makes sense to insert one more step in there to smooth it all out.

Well all said and done after like 10 years this is what we got. Blizzard rivals construction :construction: when it comes to taking time to screw everything up.

It’s simple. Keep Nightmare dungeons the way they are. Make tier 5 for item upgrades to keep character progression vs mobs consistent. Plus everything I have said above.

With that being said, Welcome to ARPGs. Where the end game is farming, and doing the hardest content pushing your build. Season. Reset. PVP.

They are just being pessimistic… we haven’t even entered Season 1 yet and seen what content updates are yet.

Tier 5 would not fix the problems you think it would.
The core itemization is kind of bland, and there’s no crafting system in the game to help press your loot luck.

People are imagining something ridiculous, there’s no reason for the item power to be higher than 825 at level 100 with the current state of the game. No content is challenging enough. The highest tier Nightmare content shouldn’t be obtainable by everyone. Even the 70+. There should be specific builds that excel. You guys seem to want this environment where every build is just blasting all content and that game play isn’t going to happen.

Why shouldn’t a vast majority of builds be able to work, why shouldn’t we have gear upgrades to fill that gap that is DEFINTELY there between 80-100 for endgame content? I’m sorry but if you are doing sigils at 55-70 you are in the 1%. That leaves the rest being extremely lucky, and exploits. Imagine a graph where you gear up, level, you get stronger and can do harder content… with Diablo you get to around 80 and it falls off HARD.

In d2, every single build is viable, some take longer to do, some easier but it’s all viable. I have a sorc that can uber d2. I have a Auradin that can uber 2, and I have a druid that can uber 2. IT’s simply not the case in d4.

You are missing the point entirely with my post. The difficulty that is there is not even difficulty, but a huge part is missing and needs to be addressed. LET ALONE THE VAST AMOUNT of abilities with any class that are just garbage and there isn’t even any variety.

Just adding more tiers doesn’t resolve anything.

It’s like trying to solve traffic by just adding more and more lanes. It doesn’t work.
