Me and my clanmates, historical D3 player, are leaving the game. There are so many flaws I won’t even tell, on top:
endgame is flat (you should be inspired by things like the endless POE dungeon, never watched Dan Machi?), all the core dynamics revolve around finding the same 10 aspects. No discovery, no adventure, pointless farming of the same annoying things. We are no more in early 2000s game MUST BE better realized, and procedural generation is an actual tool;
-uniques utility compared to drop rate is ridiculousness in itself.
Rogue uniques are worthless, monkey-programmed aspects with no utility at all, and what is more, people exploited the 12 hours window chance to drop Ubers thanks to your incompetence. Now we, other classes users are relegated into hopelessness of finding them, and still we cannot enjoy our actual uniques because of their ineffectiveness e.g. Grasp of Shadow about which the entire rogue community is complaining.
I could write a book about global Blizzard incompetence in Wow, Hearthstone and Overwatch 2, but come on…even D4 with all the User experience you had from previous titles…how the heck were u able to miss the point? Adios Blizzard.
Similar situation and yes the game is a complete mess atm. My entire friendlist is mostly not playing. My QOL improved significantly when I stopped logging in and uninstalled.
Yep but the game is just that bad and the exploited Shakos being kept in-game made a lot of people jump ship.
Tbf, the upcoming season is the only reason I don’t walk away from D4 for several months till they get their stuff together. Though, after all the recent poor decisions, I’m finding it hard to have faith that they will bring things around. But one can hope.
I personally havent spent this much time on a game in years. Sure some things still need to be fixed, but thats the live service experience everyone hates, yet makes things fairer and help resolve issues easier. Deciding the fate of an evolving game doesnt make sense. People can cry about how its a beta, but what game isnt that way in a general sense? Always patches, changes and fixes
That’s a whole lot of words, but you didnt actually really say much of anything substantive… “flat”, “inspired like PoE”, “annoying things” – what the hell are you even trying to say?
Unique drop rates are allegedly silly, and you want more procedurally generated dungeons? okay, got it
Your comment sounds like its AI generated from PoE bots who are swarming to give incoherent criticisms.
Its a big win? Blizzard making poor decisions and making a boring game making people quit is good?
I hate seeing so much negativity all over forums, reddit and you tube about this game. Its worrying. You can pretend its all sweet as much as you want. Unless blizz fix this train wreck of a game its going to be forgotten by many within a month or 2 from now
One thing baffles me, how is it possible after 10 years to write only 10 aspects per class and 6 uniques, 5 of which are not only useless, they don’t function at all. It literally takes an afternoon to write ten strings of code for an object lmao
Is their hope to release content slowly every season? Yeah, could be a justified strategy for a new entry game in the market, not for an historical title that in few months will face POE2 huge competition and integrated dynamics with POE1. I mean, just take D3 libraries and user experience and make fresh gold out of them.
Instead: no aspects, no variability of core dynamics and rewards, no map verticality, no purpose and leader, no procedural generation that relieves programmers from the burden of manually designing things, no in-game economy, substantially NOTHING.
