I never asked for sets like D3. I hope I never see that in D4. Three things I would like to see from D3 
- Legendary gems.
- The Altar.
- The Cube.

D2 sets are better but yeah Iām waiting for sets as well. Iām getting tired of the same loot.

I donāt think āsetsā kill the build diversity, itās how they are implemented that can kill the build diversity.
Itās possible to kill build diversity even without sets like we see right now.

āWeā didnt ask for sets, they will hurt more than do good if not implemeted correct.
Especially with the issus the game currently have with balancing.
I take pets over sets any day.

We pretty much have sets in the game now.
You start X build, and you need item ABCDEF for your bis. the only difference is that the items are not green. If people think you actually have any choice in your gearing right now youre delusional.
Its not an argument, its a fact that the vast majority of players who have voiced there opinion on sets about is agreeing on.

If i go to a restaurant i expect it to be done correctly, this is not even close to comparable.
This is not true, some things can be implemented and still do not good/decent but not really hurt the game.
Take WB for example, most players agree they are a piece of joke, but they dont hurt the game.
A game were builds are what matters, implementing something that can literally ruin all builds if not done correct, will hurt the game.
The only real statement i have seen was coming from blizz and they said that they will not ontroduce Sets (at this moment) cause they are still unsure on how to do them right. It was never an issue that people do not want Sets.
This is however true for every single mechanic regarding the loot not only for sets.
And just for the record. The actualy loot system atm is a broken mess at best.
Sets can barely hurt the balance anymore as there is literaly āNO BALANCEā at all.
And the āmechanicā behinds sets is also kinda part of the game. As you need a very certain loot to play build XY. Yes there are no āsetsā but there are definatly Item combinations for builds that work exactly like sets would and should work.

Yes that is correct, so why ask for sets when we already have them? They are just not named āsetsā.
The implementation of sets in D3 made it so most if not all builds used them, hence why we and Blizz themself dont want them implemented if not done correct, hence my first statement that hurt your eyes.
We have different opinions on the topic and what it means for the game in its current state, so agree to disagree 
Sets are almost always a bad idea,
just look at D3, the decision what items to use is literally: āwhich one of these 4 sets do you want to useā
it bascially just reduces the amount of itemsslots you have.
instead of a choice of 10 items you can only choose 4 items and 1 set.

But D3 has LoD gem that grants huge bonus without set items and for a number of builds, the LoD version is superior to the set version albeit harder to gear for.
This game had build diversity? Last i checked only certain builds matter during certain seasons. This season happens to be minions and bash barb. Next season sorc wonāt be viable at all it seems. Thereās no build diversity here.
The Pets are a good QoL additionā¦ and cute.
Not interested in Sets. New Uniques can fulfill that role.

I think they said they want to get Sets right before the introduce them. Concidering they canāt balance the game as is, i doubt very much you will see Sets.
