So I log in to Season 1, make a new character, and had to re do the Lilith statues and open locations. None of the Renown carried over like was intended. I figured this is becuz it only carries over in the Eternal Realm. I was wrong.
Apparently, I had to log into my Eternal Realm character first, to unlock the Renown I had grinded for in the Eternal Realm, into the Season 1 realm.
I chose to do the Main Quest again, as the Season is 3 months long, and I enjoyed the story and wanted to do that again before the new content. Why did Blizzard not in game notify me that I didnt have to re do the Lilith Statues? I feel angry and let down by them, as this was many hours I spent re-doing the Lilith Statues near every area I had to while I do the Main Quest. It wasnt until last nite that I came across a post where somebody had the same issue as me, and discovered the solution.
I demand compensation for wasting my time grinding Lilith Statues that were not completed in the Season 1 map, even though they actually were, but wasnt unlocked becuz of the Eternal Realm character thing!! Like WTF Blizzard?
So last nite I logged into that , and got credit for the first 2 Tiers of Renown , when I had already grinded them a second time!!! An easy extra 10 or 12 hours spent finding them again. Very frustrated with this as I also fell for the Season 1 Battle Pass unlock when I logged in the first time. I didnt want to use it yet.
Very dissapointed player with a bad taste in my mouth. I pre ordered the Ultimate Edition and am treated like this.

Because you did not log into a character that had done it already like Blizzard asked you to, you want compenstion? Lol. Entitled much?

It was very clear to people who were paying attention, how many times do they need to say it.
Try reading the season blog.
“Starting on July 18, we strongly recommend you log in to Diablo IV with your most progressed Eternal Realm character . Doing so ensures that the progress you made in the campaign, and with discovering the map and unlocking Altars of Lilith, carries over from your Eternal Realm character to your new Seasonal Realm character.”

Too funny. Sucks to be you!

All I read was…
“We aren’t smart enough to make the game where it knows the progress of your Eternal character without you actually logging into said character like some Windows 95 “trick” to fool the program… Have you tried shutting off your PC and restarting it?”
Putting up a disclaimer that your game sucks doesn’t change that your game sucks.
Didn’t realize I had to read “Blizzards News Page” in order to play Diablo 4

Yes it actually did say something very similar to that (really)
Of everything they did wrong… This was the one thing they did right. This was very clearly announced, you had to try to ignore it.
It was a pop up before you could even log in the game. Not sure if you and OP were expecting a phone call or text message sent to ya? Maybe, mail sent to address on file?

Pretty sure there was a message that popped up after the patch preloaded on the 18th, I think it was, saying to log into eternal character you had the most progress on. So even if someone didn’t read blogs or watch dev chats the info was given.

This was in the actual game. Sorry you cannot read OP.

All you had to do was log in and out with your eternal character and go back to your seasonal character and it would have all been unlocked, as Blizzard warned us all well before the season started.
If you want to demand compensation, send the bill to yourself.

It wa pretty clear as the game notified you. My wife told me when I got home from work. She doesn’t read anything about the game. She found out in game. I saw a notification in game. Not sure how much clearer you need.

You didn’t. It was announced in game, but ya know, reading hard, I guess.

Reading is hard when you have an agenda and don’t want to admit you may have missed something and are wrong.
