The title says it – I will not be able to continue with D4 without keyboard movement as an option. The game looks great so this is unfortunate. But for me, neither a controller nor endless mouseclicking is a viable option.
Not gonna happen. More accessibility options would be nice though.
Peace homie! WASD is unbalanced and completely changes the game.
I am guessing you aren’t asking for keyboard aiming and want to move with WASD and still aim with the mouse.
I don’t click with the mouse… just aim.
My setup is all movement is keyboard with left hand:
Left Hand Thumb constrols all movement:
- Space Bar = force move
- Left alt (right next to spacebar) = hold position
Left Hand fingers is for all abilities:
- 1-4: Skills
- F2, F3: Skills
- Tilde (right next to the 1 key): potion
- tab: evade
- M: is to open map
- Ctrl: toggles stuff on ground
Right hand is just for moving the mouse around, no clicky other than interacting with objects (chest and npcs etc…)
Go play a FPS, that is the only place WASD belongs. For a better explanation of why not go look up this topic on the LE plebit official forum. Best rebuttal and clear unflinching stance from an ARPG dev/community manager that I have ever seen.
Yo dog – this aint Quake ![]()
I move with spacebar forward. Steer with mouse. 1 thumb on one hand, index on other. How you use the remaining digits is up to you.
yawn…yawn…yawn

I feel like this change would be overlooked by 99 percent of the player base.
However I do feel they should give more option’s. Some people are legit handicapped in ways where giving more options to play is being more inclusive.
For all you know someone out there only has one hand and the only way they can play the game is if it uses one or the other (KB or Mouse).
People get creative when working around handicaps. I watched someone play dark souls on a harmonica! Wild!
Maybe some people out there would like ability’s and movement close to each other so they can play with one hand if they are missing the other.
Or whatever the reason.
