Agreed. Still not sure how it is beneficial - using one hand to move with keyboard keys and also using skills. WoW you could click on skill icons, not in Diablo…
Just seems cumbersome, but hey, to each his own. Using mouse and keyboard has been second nature to me for over a decade of Diablo, so no need to switch now.

It’s so obvious with this addition Blizzard’s desperate for a positive reaction from the community. I personally don’t care about WASD movement, it doesn’t affect me either way.

WASD works for mmos because of sticky targetting. You have a target selected and all skills fire at that enemy with the ability to move around with wasd. ARPG are typically too fast paced to continously select different mobs for this type of gameplay. Could work on bosses though.
I dont see myself using wasd personally.

Remap the keys to something you don’t use then.
you gonna need to remap again, wasd type of gameplay with the arrow keys on a normal keyboard just sucks, if the control sheme is like an mmorpg, you just hurt ur fingers.
But it isnt that hard to master just put 5 keybinding around ur wasd and ur golden. like q,e,r,f,4 other 2 skills is your mouse. Or put more/all on your mouse if u want(some prefer it that way)

What were you using them for?
I imagine it is something that you can bind anywhere, or just not bind at all.
Use of mouse in combination with WASD is objectively the superior way to control a character in an ARPG. Any player doing that will run circles around you, as it will be impossible for you to match their 100% stutter stepping efficiency.
So you are the keyboard turner here – insisting that everybody else remains a clicker and keyboard turner so you won’t be seen as bad.

It’s not mandatory, no one is forcing you to turn it on so just don’t use it.
