[WARNING] PS5 family sharing doesn't work, don't make duplicate purchase like me

So long story short, I bought 2 copies (1 for my wife, 1 for me)

Copy 1 was bought from Battle.net with my Battle.net ID
Copy 2 was bought from Playstation store from my Playstation ID (also linked to my Battle.net)

Wife tries to play on HER Playstation ID (Family Sharing) + HER Battle.net ID and is getting “Unable to find a Valid License” error.

When I try to login on the PS5 with my PS ID, I am able to log in and play the character I created from the PC version.

I think we’re screwed on this and I’ll have to start a refund process.

i’m working with a similar issue here and haven’t found much. i bought ultimate for xbox one and deluxe for playstation 4. i thought i had my second battle net account set up on my playstation but i didn’t for some reason. so i’ve spent $190 split over 2 different consoles and can only play on one at a time. i’m at a loss at what to do.

Sorry to hear that man. I just got a refund from Playstation Store and purchased the physical standard copy for my wife and decided to play with her when it arrives. I don’t know why Blizzard decided to do what no one ever did for D4 but it’s a terrible system.

i’m on hold with playstation waiting for an agent now. probably end up getting a refund there too. i don’t get why this was such a problem. just wanted to spend the weekend playing games with the family

One thing to note is I told them that it was an unauthorized charge done by my kid. They will refund you as a sign of good will once (if you never refunded with them before). I’m not sure otherwise how to because their refund policy is pretty garbage.
