I watched a few of the reviews Rhykker had the best one; some of the other people who did reviews used Rhykkers.

Personally, RIP necro. This class along with the paladin is all I need…with some rogue, and sorc sprinkled in when I feel spicy. Looks incredible.

Does the Warlock Only have 5 skill slots? Because it looks like the “permanent” demon from your Soul Shard takes up a slot

meh the D2R Warlock is nearly perfect, the D4 one not so much. No teleport skill , no Bind demon, just mehh !! Ill try it but I think Ill probably be stuck in D2r as D4 really missed the mark for me so far..

it is like attending a heavy lecture about if-then-else and while-case conditional programming courses for its soul shards 4 x 3 = 12 combinations of a handful amount of nitty-gritty and trivial requirements. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Harness Soul Shard Fragments

After reaching Level 30, the Warlock’s Class Mechanic unlocks. Select one of four Soul Shards to infuse yourself with that power, imbuing your summoned demon with precise fervor.

Choose wisely; for the Soul Shard defines which demon is linked to you and establishes the core of what your Warlock focusses on.

Soul Shards are made up of two components:

  • Primary Shards:
    • Grant a transformative playstyle passive which alters your core gameplay loop. Summoning demons, controlling them, how effects are chained together.
    • Binds a specific demon to you. :backhand_index_pointing_left:

Do not mistake your summoned demon as a companion. To do so would be a slander to your craft and the indomitable will it takes to force a servant of hell to turn against its master.

I thought I heard that too, but this stream makes it look like it’s part of the 6 skills…I hope it’s just because it was a beta

One change we can almost be certain off of is that we finally will focus on one class, since every class has like 50 builds, and people will most likely want to try quite a few in a season, there’s a chance that we FINALLY may end up in a spot where people don’t play all classes but play predominantly a one

I still don’t know if I”ll start with the Warlock or go to my sorcerer…… Everybody and their Grandma will be on the Warlock just like they were with the Paladin….. :thinking:

But some people’s grandma’s cat will be on Paladin this time. Probably playing an Auradin.

Warlock complete skill tree from minute 8 and 20 seconds more or less.

The skill tree has come a long way from this.

Yeah!
But showing pictures isn’t enough to explain the improvement.
An example:

  • Perk A: Blazing scream shoot out smaller skulls that seek enemies.
  • Perk B: Blazing scream now orbit you for 10 seconds. Channelling increase the orbit speed and refresh duration.
  • Perk C: Blazing scream now seeks your target location for 5 seconds. Channelling redirect the skull and refresh duration.

This changes how we interact with the skill directly through the input we give.

I thought D4 warlock has a shadowstep?

Yep.

And it can be a portal lasting 10 seconds letting you moving between the two position at will.
Or you can move freely for 3 seconds being immune.
Or after the shadow step recall all your abyss summons and extend their duration for 5 seconds.

And other stuff on top the three big options like teleport enemies from where you arrive to where you were before casting it.
