Wardrobe upgrade, HYPE Loadout system!

Hello Fellow Diablo IV Fans, are you interested in a loadout system that would totally rock the foundation of the game itself, then do I have the upgrade for you.

So we all know the Wardrobe right, how you can buy slots for appearance changes, but. HUGE but, what if we upgraded that system to save not only our clothing and appearance choices, but the equipment(i.e. weapons, gear, jewelry, and gem placement), skill point placement, and paragon skill point placement. capture that and save it into one slot. Then when you purchase a new slot in the wardrobe, it creates a fresh untouched character, putting all you gear away, re-acquiring all your skill points, paragon points, then rebuild a new build for your character, and have the ability to save that build in the new wardrobe slot you just bought, that you can switch between Via the wardrobe, creating the ability for fans to have multiple builds. You can have a Solo build, Group Build, Endgame Build, PVP build, or just have a build that makes no sense, but is really fun to mess around with. Refunding points is essentially free any way, why not give us this ability to switch.

So now back to the aspects of the switching, when you switch builds, everything gets taken off and put into the wardrobe, saving that outfit setup for later, like putting your clothes away IRL, but if you have a piece of gear that works on both builds then you can save that, and it will stay on that build and put everything else away, thus keeping our inventory clear of un-needed gear. I only bring this up cause they have that option in a lot of RPG games, like Destiny 2, if you know then you know. Same concept but with a twist, you don’t need to carry extra gear around to switch between, and you have to visit the wardrobe every time to switch, where all those saved sets will be kept, like an actual wardrobe. Diablo III had a concept like this, giving us the ability to save equipment sets, but not saving our skill point placements.

So the more hype this gets everyone, the more of a chance it will come to light. I think it will be a great add-on for those really dedicated to the game and who are really into character building, also those who like having more then one option in builds. because the current system now is all manual, refund points, re-do skill trees and then finding the right equipment for that build, takes far longer to do that every time you wanna change it up, rather then my method of saving each build separately.

So please support me in this endeavor, and I will be seeing all you in game, Have a Fantastic Day and Thank You for your support in advance. :grinning: :grinning: :grinning: :grinning:

I really like the idea here. I’ve seen this implemented in different ways in different games and it’s always been a good addition. Guild Wars 2 has this with multiple “gear” and “build template” tabs, which makes switching to entirely different builds really easy. 1000% support this!

Thank you very much for the support, we need to blow this up, I’m just happy that I am not alone in this idea.

You might have to post this in PC General Discussion for significant traction. That seems to be the most active section. Could also try posting on the D4 reddit. Just know, you’ll have support from me wherever else you decide to post this idea, if you do of course.

Diablo 3 already had that.
They for no reason at all just didn’t implement it here.

Came here to support this idea. I want to be able to play around and theorycraft without losing my main build. The main fun of ARPGs is making builds and trying them out, that should be made as painless as possible imo.

Thank You for the support!! I got my idea from Diablo 3, wondered why it wasn’t in Diablo 4, cause if your level 100 and wanna change builds, that’s almost 300 skills point (1-50 skill points, and 250 from paragon) don’t know the exact number off hand, but that’s not even counting the Region skill points, and Region Paragon Points. seems absurd not to have a loadout option build in, some big time streamer said “that’s not how the game is built, and will never be built like that” before he kicked me out of his stream for asking a simple question.

I’m here for you. I liked the post, and now I’m commenting. I think that’s what makes Blizzard listen? Correct me if I’m wrong. :upside_down_face:

Came searching for this as I was going to start a thread if one was not already here.!
Support this heartily.

Speaking with my son who is a WOW player (so code is owned by Blizzard), that system is even better. They have the ability to use outside tools to craft a build (skill calculators)
There are D3/D4 versions of this around as well). These builds then give you a code. In the game, in the equivilant of the wardrobe, you enter the code, and the total build is created instantly (i.e. no one by one selection of skills etc) . Predefined builds like from Maxroll, IcyVeins etc would have a build code. There are sites where general users can save there builds for others to use. Same would apply. Each build would have a code.

When leveling, if a code had been entred, then the skill tree and paragon selections would be auto assigned based on that preselected build.

Cost for a Wardrobe tab could be massivly increased, but the remove the cost of refunding skill/paragon nodes. So after creating/saving a new build the cost to switch would be zero.
