Wardrobe needs a "switch build" function

I would love to have a switch build option in the wardrobe like we had in D3. This way, speccing to different builds depending on gear would be more encouraged and players will try to experiment more with different builds.

I’ve been a huge advocate against on the fly spec swapping but this would be kind of cool. It’s a huge hassle respecting all paragon and skill points. No reason not to have a build import mechanism, and a way to save builds.

This is one of the biggest things that’s missing for me.

In D3, I did more theory crafting than any other ARPG I’ve played. But apart from theory crafting, it also supported adjusting your build for whatever you were doing in the game at the time.

It enabled having builds for:

  • gold farming (avarice band, gold wrap, gem of hoarding, etc)
  • gem farming (broken crown)
  • death’s breath farming (one of the non-class specific sets)
  • key farming
  • pushing GR’s
  • bounties (exploding chicken was awesome for this)

Not to mention, being able to setup builds for the different sets so you could take on the challenge of completing the set dungeons.

I’ve already respecced 4 times since hitting level 100. I don’t mind the cost of doing that, but the time it takes to switch back if it doesn’t work is crazy. Just give us something like a wardrobe that starts at 1M gold for the first slot and doubles every slot. I’d even pay a gold cost for switching builds.

People give D3 a lot of flack, but the end-game didn’t just have variability in the content, it also had variability in how you played it (within the same season).

I could not agree more. in fact D4 needs this even more then D3. In D3 swapping legendary gems along with gear is a breeze even if forced to do it manually. However, the paragon structure of D4 is a bloody nightmare, the skill tree to a lesser extent.

The thought of refunding all my skill points and wiping out and rebuilding my paragon tree gives me nightmares. I am currently a ice shard/fire build but there is a much better build I would like to make that requires three unique pieces of gear and some uncommon aspects. I am gathering the bits but still I am dreading the arduous task of rebuilding the entire paragon tree.

Blizzard please consider adding at least a way to store multiple paragon tree layouts. Swapping gear and skills would be nice as well, but since the skill tree requires gold and chaining requirements I can understand if that is not implemented.

They made it way to cumbersome and it is practically impossible to switch from Barb HOTA to Whirlwind. From gear, paragon, gems, aspects, wardrobe locker to swap, glyphs…etc. It seems they made this very limited on purpose and you can only go down one path and it is next to impossible to change things up efficiently without being overly cumbersome!! Need a high level way to manage all this!

There are many posts about this suggestion and you chose to make a fresh forum account to necro one that is a year old.
