After returning to D4 with around a 2 year break, when i try to use the Wardrobe to change my mog, I cannot change the look of any of my gear. Also when i look at an old Ensemble Slot, the gear is out of place (ex: I have a weapon in my Chest slot). My 90 hour character is currently topless and I cannot do anything to change it.
I have tried reinstall
patching
unequipping all items
General trying every weird combo of equipping and equipping armor.
Not sure what is going on.
a) a 2 year break? The game is ~1.5 years old? 1 year / 2 months?
b) The D4 account linked to this battle.net account → the char for the current season?
c) It might be a conversion problem. It might have worked for people that logged in more often.
In this case you can’t fix it.
We had 2 gear breaking seasons, the DLC adding more weapons, … .
The easiest way to test it:
Use the machine of a family member who you trust (and who does install viruses, trojans, … by accident!) install D4 if needed, compare
a) your 2 accounts (if they have one)
b) your 2 machines
→ “is it in your account or is it on your machine?” should be answered.
Or you can just wait and play with broken skins? (Or are the stats broken too? E.g. 0 damage thanks to the weapon in a different slot?)
(I would do that because you never know how often they click on stuff from the internet, if they patch their browser, … . On the other hand I have more than 1 machine that I can use: Steam Deck, PC 1, laptop, PC2, …)
I honestly thought it was older but you’re right, I stopped playing probably 2 months after release so more like 1 year break.
Good idea, I uses my roommate’s PC and my gear is broken on their PC as well.
Cosmetic only. My character has no chest armor showing and the rest is locked to whatever i am currently wearing.
