Walking Arsenal - your method to keeping up

Hey folks,
I’m trying to make WA work but I’m not sure how to get 2H slash worked in…

Frenzy
HOTA
Rallying
Challenging
Stomp
Iron maelstrom (this triggers all 3 but it’s a small window)

What are other WA players using?

Steel Grasp
Rend: Dual Wield
Rupture: 2H Slashing
Iron Maelstrom: All
Leap: 2H Bludgeon
Death Blow: 2H Bludgeon

Have 100,000 steps equipped, which helps with the one Fury spending attack (Rend). Also making use of Weapon Master’s Aspect for the extra charges to Death Blow (2), Rupture (2), and Steel Grasp (3). 2nd bonus on Weapon Master glyph helps with cycling those last 3 skills more often.

Darn it, you two compelled me to try HoTA in place of Rend. Threw in Aspect of Ancestral Force with it.

Loved you Rend, but HoTA is showing me more loving.

This game’s HOTA is freaking awesome, I didn’t like it in D3 compared to the other spenders but this game made it work.

HOTA Leap and Lunge. With the leap ring that reduces it’s cooldown you just jump into battle, Lunge and smack with Hota.

Dual: Lunging Strike
Slashing: Death Blow and Rupture
Bludgeoning: HoTA

1h DW: Bash (with +fury gen)
2h Slash: Death Blow (with berserking)
2h Bludgeon: HotA (with +fury damage)

Iron Maelstrom to work all three.

That being said, it’s easiest to keep the WA buff active with Lunging as your 1h DW - the mini-charge is a non-trivial time saver.

1 / 1 / 1 points into Flay 2h slashing (to apply vulnerable)
1 / 1 / 1 points into Rend Dw (to keep vulnerable applied, critical strikes trigger accelerating aspect)
5 / 1 / 1 points HotA 2h mace (main source of damage, critical strikes trigger accelerating aspect)
3 shouts.

I had been using the Assimilation Aspect (ring) and leaning into Dodge for extra defense and Fury generation. But then an rare set of pants dropped with two Damage Reduction attributes and the Enchanter offered a good third Damage Reduction option, meaning giving up the Dodge I had on pants. Since my dodge chance was dropping and I had recently gotten an Aspect of Berserk Fury (ring) with a top roll of 6 Fury per second while Berserking I figured I would give it a go in place of the Assimilation Aspect.

Oh my…

Figure I am getting 6 Fury each time I swap weapons via Impulse and 6 more per second while in Berserk–roughly 12 Fury per second. It may not sound like a lot but most of the posts in the thread are using only one spender and we’re cycling attacks. And this amount goes further if you have any Fury cost reduction or Fury generation bonus.

Biggest issue for me is I have only had one of these drop. You can be sure I will not be swapping the ring it is on out until I have another.
