Really wanting to not use Vulnerability in a build but you can’t. You HAVE TO USE EXPLOIT Glyph. You have to use abilities that cause Vulnerable. You have to stack Vulnerability or you are just not playing the game. It feels bad that all builds are tied to this Glyph, and stacking this stat.
Vulnerable needs to be in the same bucket as other stats so it’s not literally increasing your damage exponentially all the time. It’s such a terrible outlier that is just hurting build diversity and causing players to do 4-5 times more damage than they should.
It just feels really bad. If you have a build that doesn’t have Vulnerable it won’t work. It shouldn’t be like this. Vulnerable should be something that slightly improves a build at no point should ALL builds be based around it.
Edit Solution - Make Exploit Glyph chance to give Vulnerable 30% down from 100%. Have Vulnerable be a “Condition” that you do a flat 20% damage increase for everyone. It’s still a good damage bump and then we can remove the Vulnerable stat since it’s a static condition. This fixes gameplay tremendously and opens up builds.

Make every class playable that isn’t reliant on broken mechanics. Sorry Vulnerable hurts build diversity and Classes that don’t have builds around it. So it’s bad for the game currently

Agreed. Its even worse that sorc and necro cant use exploit glyph so your stuck using crap spells you dont want to.

You are right 100%, but the fact that it’s implemented like this in the game means they really expected us to play like that. I bet they even find this good and fun game design. So don’t get your hopes high. They are out of touch.

Vuln doesnt proc on exploit glyph for sorc and necro. You have to use frost nova
So take away the one mechanic that allows people to do harder NM dungeons and Uber Lilith
Exactly your still using vuln, every class does if you wanna do damage in harder content, I’m all for a change but to remove without adding or buffing other aspects seems dumb to me

How about we fix the broken mechanic needed to play the game and have build diversity and a plethora of builds/abilities to use.

There shouldnt be any gear affixes, or combat mechanisms, that all builds need. Maybe with the exception of very generic ones like +health, but preferably not that either.
Imo redo Vulnerability. Like, make it something that increases Lucky Hits and CC effects while enemies are affected.
Also keep the indirect benefits like less dmg from invulnerable mobs.
If that ever becomes an issue, you can simply reduce monster HP.

I’m all for that but with the track record I expect nerfs without any buffs or changes to even out said nerf, so id rather it just stay the same just my opinion tho

At least some builds cant crit. That helps a little bit.
But yes, crit and crit dmg definitely could also use a nerf.
How about, “AoE cant crit*”, that would be interesting. *As in, it can crit, but only one target per attack. Making crit a single target stat only.

The sorc and Necro version of the glyph do not apply vulnerability for you. Barb, Druid, and Rogue get a free application of it from the glyph.
