When you nerfed the max value ranges for crit and vulnerability with the latest patch you ALSO rerolled existing values on many existing items. I had several items that I spent the last few weeks farming and rerolling in order to get perfect or near-perfect rolls on… which I thought, was part of the game intent ( continually be working toward more powerful characters?) I get the nerf but there was no reason to also reroll the values within the new range!
This has completely devastated the time I spent farming up gold, materials, and the items themselves. This isn’t just a couple hours but this is literally weeks of game time, wasted.
I had planned to use my existing character to play the new content outside of the season, in the eternal league.
I don’t have any words anymore for just how defeated and devastated I feel after seeing this. I don’t want to play Diablo 4 anymore if nothing is safe or you just don’t care about how changes really impact players.
Please, fix this bug… this is just not nice or fair.
I’m sure they have backups of the data and way to parse that data in a meaningful way. It’s likely technically possible, just a ton of effort and time they don’t want to spend on fixing it. A solution might be: For people affected and that care, they can submit their character they want fixed, and then Blizzard could address these as-requested.
This is such a bummer and I’m trying to look past this but finding it very hard to digest how much of a giant middle finger this change is. This literally cost me weeks of time and millions of gold/resources farmed.
I feel you. Nerfing stats is something I don’t like but can sort of understand (assuming they truly believe it is something that affects the balance and diversity of the game). When they nerf the maxed roll, they really should keep the existing gear affix at the same percentage of the updated max rolled, instead of reroll that affix. It is for player experience and totally technically possible.
I had 4 chests full of gears and backup gears with affixes been blown everywhere, I don’t even know what to do with them…I can’t help thinking if I sell them what if they rolled back the change…
