I play Diablo 4 on my Xbox series X, I have been having an issue with voice chat where my headset can receive audio but I cannot speak in either clan or party chat. This is extremely frustrating as I was excited to play this game with my friends and I cannot communicate with them. I went into my Xbox settings and nothing has worked. The headset works immediately in parties or in any other game. I need help. This has completely ruined the Diablo 4 experience for me.

Similar issue. Playing on Xbox Series X, I can’t hear anything in voice, party, or clan chat. My friends, playing on PS5 (and one even on PS4!), can hear me, but I can’t hear them. I can see both of our microphone “icons” light up when the game registers that we’re talking, but no audio is being transmitted.
Completely agree, this is ruining the experience with Diablo 4, naturally I had hoped to communicate with my friends while playing the game. So we’ve had to resort to literally calling each on the phone….really not the same at all

Any update on how to resolve this? My PC friends can hear me, but I can’t hear them. Checked all settings. Please help!

Both my brother and best friend have Xbox and im on PC. Same issue for them sometimes.
They have to turn off and on the voice chat or join and leave the voice chat multiple times before it works. Sometimes it takes up to a minute to work.
Edit: Im on PC and they can hear me as well. Same issue as you guys.

I can share the same frustration.
Using a Series X,
I even cannot click crossplay chat in options.
However Crossplay as such is working but without chat the game is not convenient.
Pls fix asap!
Update:
When setting up Discord the Xbox internal Data security setup was additionally blocking cross communication…just allow and Diablo IV is fine…you need to allow for Microsoft and additionally for Diablo IV.
However, the voicechat with pc players is still not working, neither in group nor clan 
PC player here, no audio issues with my PC pals, but my XBox pal can hear us but we cannot hear him. Interesting that there have been no admins here to comment since this thread started a month ago…

I don’t have an Xbox and I can’t find any info on what button he should push if he is on push to talk

I’m pretty sure I’m also having this issue. I finally joined a party who’s transcribe was working, I was amazed - this guy was talking and text was showing up. I tried getting mine to work, also pretty sure no one can hear me. I see my audio activate and it shows that but no one can actually hear me and my voice doesn’t get transcribed.
Also Xbox Series X + Xbox wireless headset
PS5 user here my voice chat is muted. I can hear teammates talk, but they can’t hear me and I can’t use the text keeps on giving me a code 44 was working fine before the season one patch now it doesn’t work.
Crazy how blizzard hasn’t addressed the issue. Took me a bit to even find a group experiencing the same problems, yet it seems to happen to a lot of us. If someone figures something out, let me know. Thanks
Only posting here to report the same issue. My chat works on everything else but when in game playing with my friends on ps. Im on series x. This is a game breaking issue and its ridiculous they haven’t even addressed it yet. Genuinely losing faith in the game, as are all my friends. Once starfield drops, this game is done.
