There was no “Release on Game Pass”, so that question is likely answered.

Damn. nice. Kinda didnt think I would get the expansion, but if they do Mercs justice, it got a lot more likely. They need to be viable in combat on their own, not just buff bots.
Or maybe not. If that mean raids.

I would vote for the ‘bash her head in’ solution however.
We have technically played the characters that got turned into a prime evil in a previous Diablo game (D1). But how about letting us play the character while it is happening. Could be an interesting concept.

Or they might hold off on S5 before launch and do some sort of pre-launch event like they do in WoW.
I’d imagine since they’re updating the core game, we’re going to get a big patch about a month before release that everyone can use.
I’m actually with you on this one. Watch our character slowly becoming corrupt over time. Like turning Commander Shephard evil during the ME playthroughs. Lorath just screaming as us, ‘You were supposed to be the chosen one! Free us from Hells influence, not let it corrupt Sanctuary!’

Looks like season 5 will be a short one.
They may keep Season 5 going into the expansion, to give people a month (roughly) to play through the expansion and prepare for the next Season.

I think S5 is going to be delayed. S4 probably the last one before launch, and we’ll get other stuff leading up to the expansion.
No way they launch a season, then have a patch in the middle with major updates to the core of the game like the expansion describes.
