I, like most, was very hyped for this launch. All day I saw “6 hours to go” posts from Diablo.
Boy was I disappointed. On the east coast the launch went from 7pm to midnight? Not even 100% sure about that as I went to bed.
It saddens me to see this. I have been the biggest D4 supporter however this is the straw that broke the camels back.
Before everyone jumps to defend, which I’m fine with, I do intend on playing VoH however this is the last of me for a while on this game.
For a company that has made over $1billion off its player base to struggle with seasonal/expansion launches is appalling. D3’s seasonal system worked so well. PoE’s seasonal system works so well. Why is that? They would end the season a week early, allow for transition and if needed take servers off to meet deadlines.
Why does D4 seasons go right up until the next one? Realistically who’s playing the last day/hour of the season?
D4 devs/advertisters need to take a step back and reassess. If PoE2 pops off this could be the end of D4 which I don’t think anyone wants.
Please do better in the future.
