Looks about right. Somebody earlier asked me why I don’t just spec into minions if I want them to stay alive?
Yeah… the current skeletons have less hp with every single hp node on the tree taken than they had BASELINE in the last beta.

This in a nutshell, completely pointless. I don’t know who thought this was acceptable but please stay away from the balance team because this is pathetic! I have to ask how this can be missed during testing?

What’s the problem? Aren’t you enjoying the more active gameplay? 
Indeed. I tested trying to get the tankiest minions I could and they all still get one shot by any boss I took them up against.
The issue really only seems to arise during boss fights or elites with big attacks. There really is no way to “spec” into minions since the Book of the Dead upgrades don’t improve survivability, and the few passives in the skill tree that you do get are completely worthless currently. They nerfed minions too hard.

Funny, I just came from dying to Frosthorn like 6 times as a necro — was really trying to get a good build. I was level 18, so a little low, was thinking it was mainly due to that. But I maxed skellie defense, took the defenders, and did as much corpse generation as possible – decomposition, reap, decrepify, bone prison, blood lance now and then - got him down to about 1/3. My strategy was to try to keep summoning defenders with corpses from decompose and reap, and hopefully be able to heal them. Almost. But I thought I was just underleveled.
I went in to it as a no-minion build with bone crit, and did sort of OK, but thought I needed those skeletons to tank a little. So much freezing. I’m not complaining though, it’s amazing there’s this challenge. How does a sorc do that fight?
Everywhere else I’ve been really happy with my necro, summoner included – I always liked needing to resummon skeletons and use corpses for many different things. But I never used the defense passives until this Frosthorn fight. Going to come back at 20 >=)
