Seasons in D3 were about restructuring the balance of classes, making under-utilized classes and skills stronger and more approachable. Every subsequent season would focus on buffing under-utilized classes and reimagining skills that are never used, or making them more fun as well as equipment that enhances popular class aspects and skills at higher levels, D3 was fun about broadening the game meta and shaking things up so you aren’t stuck playing the same thing every season and encouraging players to try new builds with their seasonal characters, without breaking what works well in most cases. Thats what made seasons in D3 so popular for over a decade, and what is making me hopeful for how D4 will be enhanced as more seasons roll out, and they take more gameplay enhancing risks.
