Vessel of Hatred - PC Battle.net / Steam Purchase Question

Hey Folks,

I have the base game on battle.net launcher, but I plan to buy the expansion on Steam (as all other games I play have on steam). Do I need the base game on steam as well, or it is enough to buy the expansion on it?

probably depends on the version. I guess if you bought the base versions of both that is $80 bucks it seems at $90+ the expansion would include the base game but I’m sure they will address that question with the next townhall stream

Yes. You must have the Diablo IV base game to experience the Vessel of Hatred content. For new players who don’t already have Diablo IV, you can pre-purchase the Diablo IV Expansion Bundle which includes the base game playable immediately, plus Vessel of Hatred Standard Edition which will become available October 8.

I must say i am having fun and really enjoying this season. I probably made more characters (and deleted to make more new ones) this season than all of closed beta, private beta, open beta and s1-s3.

i recived a gift from a friend on steam but it wont let me accept the gift vessel of hatred bundle even though i have the base game on steam i need help please

You’d have to contact Steam about this one. If you own the base game on Steam (not the Bnet app) and you received VoH on Steam as a gift, it should technically work. You’d have to contact Steam support though.
