Diablo Immortal got 2 classes for free. It’s getting a lot more content overall. Got multiple endgame modes recently.
What does exactly D4 expansion offer? We still don’t know specifics but it doesn’t look like much and we have to pay for it like for base game AND there is a microtransactions shop just like in Immortal.
Even Diablo 2 expansion gave us 2 classes without mtx shop.
I believe Paladin should be added to Vessel of Hatred or later when he’s ready but still as part of expansion, not as another cash grab because “everyone wants paladin” just like Necro in D3.
No thanks to a Paladin. Happy to wait for next expansion after VoH

D4 is a once of cost outside skins.
Not everyone wants paladin some people actually enjoy something new and don’t want copy paste rubbish. New class likely won’t happen for at least 6 months into VoH more likely some form of xpac depending on how VoH does
Cosmetics. Far less enticeing than buying power. Immortal generates it’s whole income form the mtx shop, while D4 generates the bulk of it’s income from selling the game it self. Also the prices there and here can’t be compared to each other. Also you can wait for your Pally, I rather see someting new.
In the end u dont want to pay for it. U want it included in what u planning to buy. What expansion will include we will have to w8 and see.
Buying stuff from the shop in d4 is optional and just some extras which alot of ppl dont care about. Kind of standard these days as the designers gets paid for their work.
DI is a mobile game. Its cheaper to add things and its financed through the IGS as alot of mobile games.
That’s my problem here pretty much. Comparing to other games getting all this content for free while D4 also has mtx shop. VoH doesn’t offer enough, feels even less than an expansion 23 years ago for D2.
1 new map and story thats cool but then what? 1 new mode we know nothing about, companions we know nothing about, no new item types, more dungeons or paragon boards is whatever, more of the same of we already have so still nothing new.
Most I know is preorder bonuses, pets, skins, mounts and that’s enough for many to buy without thinking and run around with their wings already in game. Is it really that bad of me to expect 2 classes instead of 1?
So D4 has more monetisation and gets less content. Explain to me why? I mean there are whales in every game. I didn’t spend anything on Immortal or almost nothing on PoE so from my point of view even if I prefer D4, those games offer a lot more for less.
they should just leave the odd dev team in charge of d4 to let it rott and burn and move the even dev team to work on d5 with of course paladin/curader as the cover character
Yes but D4 has mtx shop too. There are a lot of players with wings from deluxe super duper edition in game. Is it really that different from whales in Immortal?
For some people Immortal is like a welfare system some people pay into the system (whales) and others (freeloaders) live off of it. For some people D4 is like a young person with a new credit card who is purchasing everything in sight (game, battle pass, shop) and wonders why his bill is so high at the end of the month.
How do u know? We dont know whats included yet. We getting alot of content for free. Plenty of patches since release.
Which is fully optional. I spend 0 on the mtx shop and still getting the same updates as those who spend alot. Just because they got a mtx shop it doesnt mean they give everything else out for free.
Thats plenty of new. Also its a live service game.
What u want and what u get isnt the same. Again costumers always want stuff for free.
Developing a game costs money and so does hiring ppl to do the work.
Paladin is probably already completely designed and pulled from initial game release and being saved for a rainy day like before PoE2 Beta drops. It’s Blizzard’s ace.
Oh right I even forgot about battle pass in D4 It’s just that as a guy who prefers D4 and don’t buy any skins, battle passes etc it’s a bit sad that I will spend more money on D4 than on those other hack n slash games and will get less for it.
They were able to add free content into D3 over the years when it did not have a Battle Pass nor shop. It seems like they really stuck it to D4 players shame on you Blizzard. As long as some people keep paying for the Battle pass and shop Blizzard is happy and they will have no reason to change how they do things.
