What happened, Blizzard? I have a lot of respect for you, and I know you are incredibly passionate and have done amazing work with some of your games. But this Vessel of Hatred expansion is just poor—mediocre at best. The story is a massive step down, the narrative is abysmal, and the plot makes no sense. It’s short, boring, and forgettable. Balance is terrible highly in a favor of new class. I think only the most dedicated and hardcore fans would defend it. Truly.
The main game was a blast. I came back after a year, remembering how hyped I was, but this expansion makes me sad. I don’t care for endless grinding or having the best possible gear—that makes me feel dull over the long run. There are other aspects of a game to enjoy. Either way, I have every right to express my frustration.
This is a total shame—by far the worst expansion you’ve ever delivered for any game. Please don’t disappoint us next time and rush. You have delivered an absolute abomination. Thank you.
Not trying to stir up anything, but genuinely curious–what didn’t make sense? It was a continuation of the base game’s Campaign. But yeah, I’ve seen articles on gaming sites about people not getting the story. There is even one that attempts to explain the end of Act 7. Idk, I haven’t done the Epilogue yet…so maybe that part is what doesn’t make sense. I am literally at the beck and call of Ormus atm. Supposed to do a tier 20 pit run. Maybe the actual Epilogue starts after that quest? But idk in all honesty.
It could potentially be, but no guarantees yet. However, people are indeed quick to flag any post/thread that is anti-Blizzard. I had one post flagged and then removed. Can’t go into details due to the forum rules, but yeah…not allowed to discuss deleted/removed posts/threads.
But I digress. I’m sure many will agree with your sentiments, OP. But maybe don’t expect it to stay up…
I remember the unnerfed intro to the first act them bosses were fun and challenging! The lady that plays that violin was rockin’ it and that was a decent boss fight. The underwater area was kind of cool, side quest that ties into the games trailer was cool, and act 5 got interesting with all the fun boss fights coming at you leading up to Lilith.
There! It wasn’t referred to as a violin. Might honestly be a Scottish thing tbh. The instrument most likely is, anyway. It looks like a mix between a lute and a violin though, tbh. Sounds very much like a violin but is called a talharpa. But word usage aside–Airidah is in Act 2. She’s the boss you are thinking of.
And a lesser-known etymology fact–Scosglen= Scot’s Glen. Hence why all the people there have Scottish accents. I’m not sure who came up with the name Scosglen, but it’s shorter than writing/typing it as Scot’s Glen.
Umm…are you referring to Act 7? Or do you mean Balance’s Sanctum, Rathma’s…well, kind of hesitate to call it a lair, since it makes him sound sinister/evil, but…his home.
Idk I think it was act 4’s underwater boss area. Was just structures submerged deep in the ocean or something like that thought the scenery and the area was cool.
Instead of spending money on development of the new Season, they spent that money paying Streamers to claim this was the best Season/Expansion ever and how fun the game was, which it was obviously a lie
And the only content they put real resources on, its content that goes against the wishes of most of their playerbase
Act 4 with an underwater area??? I will have to pay more attention, since my SB is literally at Act 4 atm. Hesitant to level her, to be honest…because of how borked the class is.
So you are comparing it to the worst expansions available, because if you want to compare it to successfull ones, we can compare it to Elden Ring expansion, and VOH sucks even more
