Hi everyone, this is my personal list of my feedback.
I hope it is useful for the developers, I don’t care about any comments (negative or positive) from all players so don’t waste too much time replying because after I finish writing this post I won’t check it later.
Let me start by saying that the expansion was given to me as a gift and I feel VERY lucky for not having spent a single cent.
Well, let’s proceed.
-
Boss mechanics
It would have been much more interesting if we had seen new mechanics but that wasn’t the case.
The game has been around for a year now and no matter how many new players arrive, there will never be the numbers of the past. Therefore, it would be “respectful” for veterans or those who play anyway to offer us something updated.
I summon the boss, I oneshot the boss, I skip all the mechanics (if there are any), I take the loot. -
Campaign Boss
We’ve been suggesting/asking to add campaign bosses to the Boss list for a year now. Varshan, Duriel, Andariel, Grigoire, Zir, Beast in the Ice. They are always the same. A year has passed, a new expansion, same old soup. -
Glyphs
It’s not enough to move a game mechanic from point A to point B to make us believe that it is something innovative and fast.
We need to be able to upgrade glyphs from multiple sources. Maybe not immediately, maybe not from Torment 1. But starting from Torment 3 I would say that we could upgrade them from NMs, from Pits, in Undercities or, much more simply, by PLAYING they get exp. -
Spiritborn
Melee, Ranged, Single Target, AoE, Cleave, Thorn, half off-tank…fantastic class. Too bad the other classes seem completely useless. I won’t go into detail, specially because I don’t have the patience to do so. I’m a gamer, I’m not a beta tester. But I can simply say one thing: why should I ever play the Druid in the future?
A slow “dead cow” who theoretically communes with spirits. And you create the Spiritborn class, which is also a class in communion with spirits. Crow, Deer, Wolf, Snake, Gorilla, Eagle, Jaguar, Centipede. Wouldn’t it have been better to make a completely new class that had no similarity to the Druid? You could have made 100 different classes, even just a gunslinger. Again, it’s a nice class but it makes other classes useless. -
Crafting
Diablo 4 is a game that rewards you for gear only if you play a lot. It’s not a game that rewards your skill but your time. It’s strange because it should be a game that should appeal much more to Casual Players, who never have much time. Furthermore, you have also made leveling more difficult, which doesn’t help the lack of time and experience of Casual Players.
In the middle of this “confusion” it would have been very interesting to give us the opportunity to craft what we want. No. We have to bet, we have to be lucky, we have to change the statistics by spending millions, we have to throw the gear down the toilet due to the tempering, often while using the scroll that gives us back the charges. Okay. -
Kurast Undercity
I think it’s one of the most useless things you could have done. A timed mini-dungeon to…farm. And even there you get to the final boss which is a meme. Now this is something for casual players. Well done. Not for me ofc. -
Mercenaries
The idea is “ok”. It’s not innovative, it’s just “ok”. It’s a smart way to not give us more skills and passives to existing classes, which would have allowed us to create many more builds. No no no.
It’s better to make NPCs who, as always, have terrible A.I.
Good job. -
Runewords
Another “ok” way to give us passives. It’s more “ok” than the mercenaries, although it’s obviously not innovative. I don’t have much to say about runes but I can say one thing: Why can’t I leave them in the stash if I want to craft new runes or I want to craft a mythic? I think you can make it so that they work like materials, that we transport them everywhere and we can craft anything simply by interacting with the npcs. I believe that an internal menu of the character interface could solve this problem. -
Latency/Netcode
I don’t know how Blizzard/Microsoft has such crappy servers.
Imagine if no one in World of Warcraft was able to play Raid or Mythic Plus on the weekends 'cause lagspikes (especially in Open World).
I remind you that World of Warcraft is a Blizzard game as Diablo 4, it’s not a game from a Different Company.
Furthermore, Diablo 4 has some of the worst input lag I’ve ever seen.
$600 million on sale and you still haven’t solved these problems?
I’m addressing you Blizzard/Microsoft: in 2024 more than any other flaw in the game you are truly embarrassing. -
Upscaling
The more time passes, the worse it gets. You don’t deal damage until 29th level and then…DING! 30! “Why I oneshot everything? Why don’t I die anymore?”
Let’s talk about upscaling in the open world with other players. I’m level 30, full of perfect legendary aspects, even with unique ones and then he arrives, level 5 Necromancer who oneshots, laughs in my face and goes away. -
Tyrael’s Might
Could you remove elemental resistances? Anyone who knows the game can understand me. I only ask this. Remove those damn elemental resistances. Thank you.
The competition is coming next year.
And it will be free to play.
But it seems that Blizzard doesn’t care about this.
