I don’t want to go in the “what’s good, what’s bad”, as most of the discussions is about that already.
But I want to put a list of some small QoL UX changes I would like to see, as a casual console player:
-
When you open the quick access wheel, you basically have to stop moving until you close the wheel.
In my opinion that makes it frustrating to use and just makes it one more menu instead of an actual quick access wheel.
Let me continue using my left joystick to move and use my right joystick to navigate in the wheel. -
When comparing a 2h weapon to my currently equipped 1h weapon+shield, please show my shield in the comparison as well. Would also be nice for the opposite scenario to be handled differently, but that’s a bit more complicated I guess.
-
Add the skeleton summon spell in the skill tree.
I dropped the skeleton summons from my hotbar, and maybe that is just me, but I cannot find a way to add it back. I assume on mouse/keyboard it’s a simple drag and drop. -
Let me use the right joystick to evade in a specific direction instead of forcing me to turn around before pressing the evade button.
-
Let me use the touchpad to “mouse over” my active buffs to see the description of what the buffs are and, if applicable, show for how long they are applicable.
-
Display my max obol count at the bottom of the inventory page. No reason to hide it (I did not know it was capped until I reached the cap…).
-
When going through my detailed character profile (or any list-based menu really), let me scroll page by page by pressing left or right, instead of having me scroll manually through the whole list
-
Let us use the altars of Lilith as fast travel points. It would make them a bit more meaningful on a second character. Also could reduce a lot of the back and forth in the open world (which I can see getting tedious on the long term).
-
A bit similar to my second point, when comparing a ring from your inventory to the rings you have equipped, please display both of the equipped rings instead of having me press a button for a second to switch back and forth. That also applies to dual daggers on rogue for example. Then I am fine pressing a button for a second to select which one to replace.
