FFXIV lets you use macros on key/mouse or controller. It is built into the game. So if Sony is ok with macros why Blizz? They wont give an undue advantage to anyone if it is built in. I’m sick of having to hit all 6 individually. I would like one button to click two skills another to hit 2 skills then i have main and one other skill to push. The devs are so anal about what you can do. Macros aren’t cheating just controller and time savers.
I remember making macros to hit all the buttons in SWTOR… and topping every chart every run.
Its totally cheating.
FFXIV macros are mostly used for crafting. No one uses them for combat what so ever, if you are you’re doing yourself a disservice, as it delays the pressing of the actual keys involved. It becomes more apparent when you try to link skills in the same macro. The delay is horrible.

Yeah the in-game macros are worthless for anything i’d want to use them for. On the other hand, MMOMinion in assist mode saved my hands when i was playing. I used it to automate a lot of cooldowns and/or combat modes.
My SMN profile was amazing before they changed the job.

To answer your question. Maybe take a break from the game if your hands hurt. If your hands don’t hurt, then what’s the problem?
And it’s probably against botting. Like just standing in the center of Infernal Hordes with a macro spamming Hydra. That’s botting / cheating. Because, you can just eat lunch or go to a work zoom call and come back and take out the boss.
Botting is unfair to those who put in effort to grind, and unfair to the group in which you joined. It messes up the economy, and it’s just unsportsmanlike.
