User manual Diablo 4

Can someone direct me to the official Diablo 4 users manual. I seem to have not received one with my copy. And I wanted to read it over so I don’t suffer the same fate as these people that got banned.

From my understanding there were people trading and now Blizzard took there game away? I understand EULA. But how do you know your not breaking it? There is no users manual. And there is no website like Arreat Summit that is an official Blizzard website NOT a third party.

Now if Blizzard had attempted to warn these people via the Blizzard launcher, or the game menu that there game was not working properly and not to do a specific thing it would be different.

We seem to have run into many design flaws with this game. I suggest the folks over there at Blizzard use the tools they have to help there users not get into trouble.

Diablo IV (blizzard.com)

There is the official website… Legal info is at the bottom… You can also contact support…

That has insufficient information for a game they keep updating that has design flaws. A matter a fact it has NO information about the game. It takes days if not weeks or months for support to react.

If one of these people traded a pair of boots with someone who gave them gold the got banned.

Some misconceptions and false information in this post.

  1. People have had their account suspended/banned on suspicion of RMT with multiple trading transactions, this is true.

The game automatically flags an account that has been trading a lot back and forth involving the in game currency of gold. We currently do not know how much gold, or how often one has to trade in order for the system to flag it, but we do know it’s automatic, this was a problem week 1 of the game, and continues to be a problem for those who actively trade.

For those who legitimately trade you can appeal your ban/suspension, not ideal, but currently it’s the only way.

  1. The most recent exploit that was fixed involved a very specific set of steps to complete in order to make possible. It was not possible to just “stumble” upon this exploit, and those who abused it by trading items/gold from an Eternal Realm character to a Seasonal Character were punished accordingly by Blizzard.

What you are looking for is not the user manual. It is called “Terms of Service” or the “End user license agreement”

Here you go.

Useless link as I mentioned I understand the eula.

This is part of the problem - we are only getting half of the story. People are going online and stating they got banned for A when it is A +B that got them banned. So, we do not have a complete picture outside of the ToS and EULA.

As far as getting banned goes, do not trade with anyone, do not use any from a 3rd party, be careful about what your group does and you should be fine.

As far as an official Blizzard site, it may be coming but is not currently in use. We know that Sets are coming but no word on when.

The first half of this comment is useless in this discussion. There are people banned for receiving gold from people that did the bad stuff. Unknowing to them. All the did was stand there. While they thought someone was getting gold togther.

Send out warnings to the game. or app. or disable trading until fixed. dont steal people s game

They were banning people for using an exploit that somebody (with waaayyyy too much time on their hands) discovered where they could bring their Eternal server characters into Seasons - with all their gold, items, aspects, etc. Doing that and then trading said items to seasonal was what got people banned. The person doing it had to follow a specific set of steps to trigger it to work - obviously cheating.

Just doing legit trading via discord room or what-have-you is not what started the ban hammer.

It all boils down to this - don’t try to cheat or ‘game’ the system and you will be fine.

How do you know if you are?

You asked about people being banned for trading, the first thing I mentioned was an example of this happening. You’re assuming people who trade with others who have RMT’d are being banned, I haven’t seen any evidence of this, and would prefer proof rather then wild accusations.

Aside from the automatic system of banning people, blizzard will also have an investigation of known RMT bots that trade with other players and ban accordingly. Now if the person who bought gold, and traded with an RMT, now trades with another person who doesn’t know this, it’s highly unlikely that person will be banned.

However, again, if this is done multiple times, 1st person trades with RMT account, 1st person trades with 2nd person unaware (supposedly), that throws up a red flag.

Just stood there while the other player did some shady stuff, completely oblivious to what was happening? Yeah, right, I guarantee you most of those people knew exactly what was going on.

So your a no on the Arreat Summit like website and warning via the game system to advert bans.

You want Blizzard to warn you, in case you are doing something questionable in the game that is against their terms? They have the right to restrict your access at any time for any reason, they also reserve the right to not even give you the reason why they did so.

This sounds like you personally or a friend of yours was banned for questionable activity, and now you’re wondering why there wasn’t a warning ahead of time. Blizzard has always been a ban/suspend first, ask no questions, wait for the player to file an appeal, kind of company. In the history of all blizzard games this is known to be true.

Most online games follow this policy, I don’t know of any currently that would issue out a warning that you are being suspected of questionable activities in a game, they just straight up suspend/ban your account right then and there.

I have an angle here. But I have never traded or need to. I play solo.

I want an Arreat Summit style website. And I want them to use the in game system to communicate. A chat system that can send out blue text information that people need to see. Get it done Blizzard get off the pot.

And communicate what, exactly?

“Hey, there, we see you doing something shady. Knock it off”

The person doing shady stuff already knows they are up to no good.

TO ALL “Hey, we have a game flaw we do not want anyone using. We don’t want to ban you if you come across it” Dont trade with anyone else either

By far the most confusing post ever.

Arreat Summit is for guides and basic information. It was made a long time ago by a completely different company, Blizzard North, they are no longer around, none of the original developers or programmers are around. The name “Blizzard” is the only thing that stuck around, and they didn’t bother making a website for Diablo 3, or Diablo Immortal, so they aren’t making one for Diablo 4.

What you want is an in-game wiki found in other games. It also sounds like you want a warning for suspected activity to pop up for players. Being a solo player I can understand the former, but not the latter.

It wasn’t a game ‘flaw’. It wasn’t something that a player ‘OOPSed’ their way into, like the Shako helms dropping. That was an oversight on their part. This was something that required a player doing specific tasks, in a specific order, and timing to accomplish.

If you are worried about being banned, I got a tip for you.

Don’t exploit obvious bugs.

You’re welcome.
