What is the point in having a treasure goblin event when all the gear from this event will be garbage next month with VoH?

when season ends all equipment is garbage anyway. so why not have nice events that give us nice things?

I don’t play seasons, as many dont. If this was meant for only Seasonal players, why have the event in Eternal as well? Doesnt make any sense

well i am sure the few players who play eternal can still enjoy an event the same as season players.

I’m having fun hunting for them, and I’m even enjoying helltides while hunting. I’ve gotten some good stuff from them so far, no complaints from me.

There is also the boss materials that those goblins drop.
And if you think that everything useless because of the expansion coming out, no one is forcing you to take part in the event or even play.
You have every right to refuse seasonal mechanics, but you can only blame yourself for missing a substantial part of the game then.
So the point of this event is the same as every event, to enjoy it while it lasts. Nothing more, nothing less.

It’s your fault for buying a game that was gonna be doing “Seasons” ((-as it said it Was)), Just like D 2 (Latter resets) , just like D 3 and now D 4. You have nobody to blame but yourself.
Now if your so/still unhappy with this product, go play something else.

Uuuuuh this is a game? Point to games is having fun. We arent buying new television s or phones. It doesn’t matter that the new tech is better. Its a new season and new characters. It has zero bearing on season 5
It’s up to you when you decide to open the treasure bags. I still have caches from S2.
What’s the point of goblin event when there’s item inflation even before the goblin event, “oh hey lets make even more inflation in a video game but adding even more items to drop” shower players with endless orange text till you can’t even see your character, great game design, truly.
Each piece of gear will be garbage when you find a better one, so why play at all?
To have fun, power and gold this season (or for now in eternal)?
We don’t have a single good diablo -game (yet), why to even live.

What’s the point of doing anything. The sun is going to eat up the earth in a couple billion years anyway.
The seasonal concept of the game with the reset at the beginning of the season is another problem.
I think this Goblin event is great. The quality of the loot you get is good and there are plenty of summoning mats which usually take a lot of time to farm. You can go into the Helltides or just travel the map doing Whispers, there are plenty of Goblins and you can quickly fill your stash with mats.
Playing a live service game with seasons and constant changes, and don’t appreciate changes… sounds like a You-problem.
If you want finished games, go play Grim Dawn.
