I thought of this last season and to me this would be infinitely better. This gives mythics and sparks dual purpose and more value. When ya spend all this time farming and/or trading to land a best in slot item, to just end up scrapping it after a blown temper is completely asinine.
With shards to retemper it’ll eliminate that dread of blowing it on such a rare item, but also still makes it meaningful to retemper; its not just a giveme, it takes something of value to do it.
Anyway, I think it’s worth looking at more or testing it out.
Or…. Just change ridiculous 1 time only limit of resetting tempering charges with the scroll of restoration.
The problem with scrolls, typically, they just pile up and become worthless. Its like the prism you use to add a socket. They have absolutely 0 value and are just a chore to pick up. They might as well be removed from the game and just have the jeweler be able to add a socket as standard. Or hell ya might as well just have the capable items already come with sockets.
If you can roll your tempers unlimited amount of times and ya got this pile of scrolls, then its all absolutely pointless and just a waste of time with no gratification. Better off with just a flat price, choose specifically which temper you want, no rolls, no stat ranges, just comes maxed out.
If it were a shard, then youd need to be more mindful of what ur doing. Which Item is more important to re-temper now, or can they wait and crafting a mythic is better option atm. I dont know, just seems less procedural to me.
