i tried other builds or rather, i was forced to try other builds cuz necros minions are just a joke.

sorc balls is fun!,
barb hota is fun!

so i played other classes maxed out all glyphs, gear, min/maxed it, tears of blood glyph level 26 right now,

Necromancer is still shiet with minions, my statement isnt changing :face_holding_back_tears:

They DESTROYED necro minion and wizard HYDRA during beta… for no reason other than to appease the outcry of a minority.

Just give up… they arnt listening. Move on.

Maybe they listen, but they Just dont understand or are to incompetent to do whats needed…all in all These devs Just dont have IT…

BL sorc & HotA barb are hardly what I would call “fun”. Melting/one-shotting World Bosses utterly ruins the experience for others like myself who purposely chose a properly-balanced build. I maxed out my Chain Lightning sorc (Seasonal Realm) & am working on my Shadowblight necro (Eternal Realm) until Midwinter Blight starts tomorrow. Not a fan of broken OP builds that are in obvious need of balancing via nerf.

apparently in blizzards mind that is the most balanced builds because they literally balanced the game around it lmao

i never knew bugged builds would be considered the gold standard and used for balancing end game content

D4 minions are W1/W2 necro training wheels, nothing more.

ye thats totally fair, i was more leaning towards it beeing (more fun) then necromancer minions, as im atleast capable now of doing the AoZ high tiers,

but totally agree though 1shotting world bosses O,o eh…

AoZ was balanced in favor of vastly OP builds which is utterly ridiculous. Way to shut out the vast majority of the player base that purposely chose to play with a properly-balanced build that is fun to play with while still providing a challenge. WT4 Legion/World Boss events are totally ruined no thanks to BL sorc/HotA barb builds melting/one-shotting everything…

During Server Slam, minions were actually useful. Then came the massive pre-launch nerf that utterly destroyed the viability of minion builds in WT3/WT4. D3 minions are fun & can even be ordered to attack enemies via a click of the mouse…

But what would be the point of near zero damage meat shields if they cant maintain aggro? They hardly maintain aggro now while doing whatever damage. If they did near zero damage you would be guaranteed to be face tanking everything. At that point you would actually be gimping yourself with useless minion skills in your bar.

All minions need to be generating aggro constantly, not just golem. Anyhing else and they are just a mediocre dot, while you face tank the majority of encounters.

We need sufficient aggro from all of our minions(minus mages), while allowing us to be able to direct them sufficiently.

A pure summoner is hardly a minion master if they can hardly control them.

Minions should be at least one of the many great builds for necromancers. Its right in the name and definition of necromancy. Nobody uses the necromancy part of necromancer. Is ok to sac minions for self power as long as you can also sac self power for minions but you cant. Minions suck.

A necromancer is a person who uses witchcraft or sorcery, especially to reanimate dead people or to foretell the future by communicating with them.

I was doing something similar, with minions.
Blight and blood nova, reap (which stupidly is still bugged and doesn’t get attack speed bonuses), utilising the blood nova pendant, bloodless scream and crutch of mendelyn. Was just blitz blasting overland stuff, and blasting T50 NMDs :man_shrugging:t2: takes forever to kill butcher, but face tanks great.

this is soooo true! the devs gave a vision of what the necromancer is, and then did the opposite.

People who played the Necromancer class in D2:LoD played the Skelemancer 99% of the time. It’s a fact. There were some other niche builds, but most people loved having 40+ minions running around and blasting everything with the Corpse Explosion. Act 2 mercenary was also pivotal, because he often killed the first monster which allowed the CE chain casting. This was THE build for Necromancers in D2:LoD. It was so strong that it was one of the very few builds which could do the Uber Tristram solo (with Urdars as Revives). Something similar should be available in D4. One reason why something like this should be in D4 is that the Necromancer is ICONIC to Diablo. No other game focuses so much on this dark fantasy class. Making summoners weak goes against the CORE FANTASY of this franchise.

Do your realizes D4 ist a different Game than d2? If you Like d2 so much why do you Just dont Play If IT fullfills your necro Fantasies…D4 has very different mechanics, IS IT that hard to Accept that…Minions could use some Help Sure, Nobody Denise that, but allways bringing Up d2 IS rather contraproductive…If U Like d2 Play d2, ITS that simple

Ironically enough the viability of minions during betas with the capped level say absolutely nothing about potential viability in WT3-4 that wasnt available back then.

Also correct me if im wrong, but werent the SS nerfs for the most part reverted ?

THe problems minions are having have very little to do with some adjustments to their survivability.

true true…, we wouldn’t know if WT3/4 minions (from beta) before nerf… would be good for endgame, they might have still be getting 1tapped around in higher tiers,

atleast the dmg would be an improvement, but welp we will never know that sadly…

And partilly… stuff has been buffed but reversed nope, the beta was a BIG nerf, and we got like 2% back i believe? i know the number is low very low, not sure exactly what it was… but i do know that while we have had tiny buffs its far from what we need… really far…
