The drastic nerf inflicted upon Necromancer minions from the beta to the game’s release was an egregious mistake. Minions were potent and effective in the beta, yet the substantial nerf upon release unjustly diminished their power, which was beyond frustrating and utterly absurd.
Rework the Necromancer summoner builds to allow for sacrificing bonuses when running with minions, not solely for the player’s benefit.
Scale minion/mage/golem stats (HP/DPS/Armor/Attack) according to player level to ensure scaling effectiveness in higher tiers.
Address the underpowered nature of Necromancer summoner builds. Balance both player and minion strength instead of favoring one over the other.
The egregious discrepancy between the powerful Necromancer minions in the beta and the significant nerf at release was not only unwarranted but severely hampered the class’s potential.
Furthermore, it’s imperative to note: the nerf was based on the beta’s limited scope, where minions were only focused on World Tier 1 or 2, and the maximum character level was 25. It was utterly foolish to base such a drastic nerf on that limited context.
Moreover, the delayed response to rectify this situation after MONTHS of waiting is intolerable. Updates should be more frequent and responsive to such critical issues within the game.
After all His Misses… Jackson shouldnt be working on IT, He should be straight Up replaced…Aoz IS the worst thing that could Happen to this Guy AS IT Shows all His mess ups…D4 Balance IS horrible across the Board, time to hold the one in Charge responsible instead of finding excuses…No reason to Trust the one WHO has messed Up Big time to BE the one to right the ship…give US competent devs with a Vision and a plan, No more band aids
You realize all of the talent left Blizzard a long time ago right? So who exactly would take his place if he’s fired? No talented well known developer is applying for Blizzard, they have more self respect then that. So now the problem becomes you get rid of one person to fill it with another unqualified person.
Here’s an idea, apply to Blizzard and take over the man’s job. See how well that goes for you so people on the forums can use you as a scape goat when they hate the balance of classes as well. I’m not defending the dude by any means, but I think it’s laughable that people’s first thought is to get rid of the person in charge without thinking about who would replace them that’s even close to being qualified for the job.
I’m a long time Skelemancer fan from D2:LoD. IMO, minions on D4 should have a similar role as in D3: TANKING. In D2 skeletons could dish out some serious damage with something like Pride. In D3 they were mostly meat shields. I think that minions should be mostly meat shields with some CC utility. The hero should deal the bulk of the damage. The thing I hate the most is when minions constantly die and have to be resummoned. I would rather have them nearly immortal, but dealing almost zero damage. When minions are mostly defensive/CC, then they don’t affect the main factor: damage. This allows people to play actively, casting spells, while “dancing” around minions avoiding monster hits. Minions should keep monster aggro and soak almost all incoming damage. This should balanced by making the hero a bit fragile, so that actively dodging and moving around is important. This would create this fun dynamic, where you would blitz around your minions avoiding getting hit while casting your offensive spells.
and u noticed this NOW ?
ur wording is a bit aggresive and a bit over the top imo
and some of it seems pretty much untrue
the title alone man
“Urgent Demand” balancing is not urgent
“Unjust Nerfs” why is it unjust ? soley because u play this class or whats the reasoning?
“Demanding Timely Update” blancing is not that important it can wait to s3
nerfing something to strong doesnt make it a mistake just cause u like the class
why ?
sounds stupid
like at this point why should any necro build play without minions if u have 0 advantages ? its pretty good designed either u have alot of miniones with diffrent varieties or u have some small general buffs
u should consider working as journalist ur good at making stuff sound way worse than it is and framing it
yea cause they should not have balanced a class atall if it was stronger and just leave it in the game for the paying customers to deal with it ? what is this insane logic ? also why again are we talking about the beta ? there where like 10 or so balance patches since then which changed every class
maybe cause u seem to be alone waiting with the sentiment that the beta was better balanced ?
fyi…
this isn’t my first topic im just reposting as the developers take forever…
Regarding Necromancer Minions:
This matter is not open for discussion. I already have two/three other topics demanding the same for Necromancer minions.
Disagreement with this assessment is delusional.
With multiple characters at level 100 and maxed gear, including all glyphs except Tears of Blood at level 23, urgent action is needed.
The developers are taking far too long to buff and balance aspects of the game. It’s becoming increasingly frustrating, especially regarding the Necromancer minions’ situation. There’s a dire need for quicker action and more responsive updates to maintain a balanced and enjoyable gameplay experience. The delay in addressing these critical issues is simply unacceptable.
This topic is a pure repost to emphasize the urgency of addressing the Necromancer minions’ issue. The constant reposting is a reminder to the developers that this matter requires immediate attention. However, it’s essential to note that it’s not just about the Necromancer; overall, the game’s balancing needs to be addressed at a much quicker pace. The delay in these essential updates is testing the patience of dedicated players seeking a more balanced and enjoyable gaming experience.
as i don’t like the way you come over to me feels very attacking im blocking you
critical is :
-game breaking bugs (like unable to play atall)
-game breaking exploits (like dupes)
-stabillity issues (high ping or low fps)
balancing is important but not critical
forum is for discussion not for acutall changes i dobut many (if any) developers read this
see what i wrote above
maybe acutall give reasons rather than claiming random things
why exactly is the necromancer situation ESPECILLY bad? there are many underperforming builds why is the necromancer so special ?
first time i am seeing it
try twitter - than they might actually see it
maybe make a thread about that than rather than framing it in a way where necro is the worst class and the only unbalanced one
what does the first part of this sentence have to do with the second ? it seems utterly random
so because i disagree with ur framing and misinformation u block me ? thanks that tells me everything i need to know about you as a person and safes me further time
also since u admitted this is just spamming a repost i ll flag every further repost as spam so it will be deleted faster
Finally - someone actually brings up just how USELESS minions really are in Diablo 4. Minion builds are utterly useless in WT3/WT4. Minions only dealing 30% of player damage is beyond pathetic… Blizzard, you can do better.
I’ve been waiting for the same change…I hope they actually consider some seriously viable changes, for my it will be a DREAM if they bring something similar to D3 Rathma build…boy it was fun!!!
We have limited number of builds putting summoner build aside.
I am just a Necro lover!!!
Bone spear or blood spear.
Pretty much tells everything you need to know. Minions are not viable for top end play.
The mendelyn ring is basically a must have for a mid tier minions, and even then the output pales to blood lance/ bone spear builds
I’m playing a Blight Shadowmancer build on Eternal Realm right now & it is DEVASTATING. This build doesn’t rely on Critical Strike at all. Damage Over Time is king with this build & it is amazing. This build eventually evolves into an Infinimist Necromancer build which from what I’ve read is even more devastating. Maxed my Season 2 character out several days ago but will be going back to her once Midwinter Blight drops on Tuesday…
With the power of the Tears glyth behind it, pets are pretty decent. There’s a big gap in-between normal play and AoZ gained content. Maybe if they made more sacrifices.
Sacrifice the ability to cast core skills, gain 325x summon damage.
