Hi all,
I decided to revisit some of my older builds and try experimenting with some variations.
For some of my rogue builds I decided to drop the basic generator in favor of another active cooldown and settled on concealment.
This will let us stealth and regain 40 energy, as well as apply vulnerable to our enemies.
I’m combining this with Opportunist’s Aspect, which drops a cluster of stun grenades every time we break stealth for more damage and cc.
Going for concealment also allows us to pick up Mending Obscurity, which heals 9% hp/sec as long as we’re stealthed.
I’m of course still sticking with siphoning strikes as well, which heals us for 3% when we crit.
I tried solving the energy generation in a few ways:
- Concealment refunds 40 energy
- We’re running Death Trap with Aftermath, which refunds 75 energy
- we’re going for the exposure capstone passive for a chance to reset death trap’s cooldown
On top of this, we’re picking up Ravenous Aspect, which increases our energy regen by 70% when killing a vulnerable enemy.
We combine this with Aspect of the Umbral, which refunds 1-4 energy every time we crowd control an enemy.
To further play off the Opportunist’s Aspect, we’ll pick up Aspect of Uncanny Treachery, which will grant us stealth every time we hit a dazed enemy with either dash or shadow step.
We can slow and/or daze enemies with dash, as well as stun them if they’re dazed thanks to Trick Attacks.
Shadow step allows us to stun enemies and enhanced poison trap knocks down enemies. So we got a pretty good amount of crowd control to benefit from Aspect of the Umbral. That’s before we factor in the stun grenades from breaking stealth and the Exposure capstone passive.
So far I’ve been able to clear the capstone dungeon with it and have been running WT 3 starting at level 45 without too many issues.
If I die it’s mainly because I’m ignoring a boss mechanic that I shouldn’t be.
The cool thing is that you can set this build up by using aspects from dungeons, meaning there’s no need for specific drops or uniques yet.
I’ll work out a midgame build soon, which includes legendary aspect drops, uniques and the full paragon board setup.
I’ve got another build in the works based on shadow imbuement that drops the basic generator as well and has been working pretty great for speed farming some dungeons.
