Update is broken

Patch 2.1.2 just got installed. Go into the game and get the message: “A new update is available. Close game to update.” Closed game and restarted. Same message. Nice job, Blizzard.

crazy how much a simple computer restart can fix right ;)?

Yeah, I restarted several times. Still same message. It just took about 20 minutes for the servers to realize that the game was already patched. Nice job there.

Also, Twilight Warding is still disabled. So much for the patch notes.

Im so glad that these things are done on my working days. Usually the issues are resolved by the time I get home.

So, repair and scan again …

Did you drop it? May :honeybee: you can glue it together… or buy a new update

Hopefully everyone survived the new upgrade. Even the grumpy Hipsters that still use PC-Working-Machines instead of professional dedicated gaming devices like consoles where DIV is running like a charm

Hahaha you clicked here. You won a tasty icecream at cost price and a wet finger into your ear.

i got the same message but didn’t feel the need to rush to the forums to post its broke its broke…

That’s based on truth.

Back in '85 I worked at a global bank in their MIS (Management of Information Services) Department, the predecessor to the IT Department. That response was the first thing out of our mouths and it solved about 60% of the issues we got via phone. Another 10% were solved by asking them to make sure that they had also turned on their printer and their monitor.

FIXED

Found a solution: try uninstalling it and…
That’s it. That’s the fix.

Remote trouble shooting has caused me to realize this needs to be changed to “Have you disabled Fast Startup in power settings and made sure to select RESTART?”

Even then I have people who swear they have restarted multiple times then when I’m remoted into the device, task manager shows multiple days of uptime…
