Dear Blizzard Tech Support Team and Management,
I am updating this post to let you know I did further troubleshooting, and after a few attempts I have finally been able to log back into Diablo IV’s Live game server without any problems just a few minutes ago, at around 3:38AM Eastern Time, which is good. 
Note: I have not tried to log back into the D4 - PTR 2.3.0 game server as of yet. I will wait until tomorrow to avoid any further login issues. At this point, I prefer to enjoy some game play first, and hopefully tomorrow I will be able to test out D4’s PTR 2.3.0 test server, if the login works without the same issues I reported before.

Hello Blizzard D4 Team and Management!
I have experienced NEW Login BUG Problems that are now affecting my access to the actual game itself. I am unable to login into the main live game server for Diablo IV and still random login issues with your PTR 2.3.0 - especially after Battle.Net updated Diablo IV at around 10:24PM EST on my high end computer.
So, instead of fixing this exact same login bug issue that was happening a few days ago on your PTR 2.3.0 server, which I reported, with players being stuck in “Logging Into Diablo IV…” for a few minutes and then the game crashes and closes, you release an update to the live version of the game and now that login bug problem is happening when trying to login into the live game server! This all started when I requested for my character data info to be copied from the live server to the D4 PTR 2.3.0 game server. This is NOT good, Blizzard! This is unacceptable, frustrating and VERY disappointing!
During many attempts to login to the game, if the player is lucky, it will continue to normal login after sitting idle in the login screen for several minutes where it says: Logging Into Diablo IV… Does ANYONE at Blizzard bother to test the actual functionality of the login and game play for Diablo IV to make sure players don’t experience these types of unnecessary bugs??? I’m talking about → D4 ← The same broken, buggy, BETA game we were sold almost 2 years ago, and still remains in Beta to this day, Blizzard Team and Management! What gives?
I understand bugs happen, and no one expects perfection with anything on this God-given Earth, which is why many loyal players / customers, myself included, paid for the game and continue supporting D4, Blizzard Team and Management, in the hopes that the game will be properly fixed and improved in the best way possible, and finally be taken out of Beta land!
However, most players can tolerate bugs to a certain extent, but to have these awful login problems in Diablo 4, where players are having trouble logging into the game because of this login bug issue, not to mention some core functionalities in the game fail to work properly, is NOT ACCEPTABLE, Blizzard Team and Management!
You seriously need to fix these critical problems and the current login bug issue in Diablo IV ASAP! And PLEASE, test the functionality and game (D4) itself to make sure it is at least working properly for all players!
I VERY rarely have any connection problems with any Blizzard game or any game platform for that matter, and that includes Diablo IV, but since you released Diablo 4 - PTR 2.3.0 this wacky, unstable login BUG problem began! This random login bug issue started a few days ago ever since you released Diablo IV - PTR 2.3.0., which is now affecting the Live Game server as well as the PTR server.
Note: Players should NOT have to attempt 5, 10, 20 or 50 or more logins to hope they can get into the game and play, Blizzard D4 Team and Management! There is NO reason for this type of bug issue to keep happening in the game! None! Do proper tests to avoid bug issues or update conflicts like this in the future for all D4 players who paid for this game and continue supporting you, Blizzard Team and Management, and show some appreciation.
You’re not some small time startup gaming company! You’re Blizzard Entertainment! The gaming company that has been legendary in delivering and releasing epic, fun and awesome games, and I been a Blizzard player / customer for over 20 years now, and the Blizzard I remember always did the right thing when something got broken, and in all my years as a Blizzard player / customer I never saw so many problems and bugs in any Blizzard game except for Diablo IV! You can do better than this, Blizzard! Don’t be so damn neglectful and ignore these critical problems in the game. It’s not right and you should know better after all these years. You can do better, Blizzard Team and Management!
What’s even more frustrating is that I finally have some free time off from work to catch up and enjoy some game time and this BS login bug problem has to happen now! And I’m not the only one experiencing this issue as you are well aware, Blizzard Team and Management! Instead of enjoying some game play I have to waste my time writing and venting my disappointments with this buggy beta game (D4). Well, at least I can catch up on some WoW game play or PoE2. Update: 5/30/2025 - 7:57AM: It’s almost 8AM in NYC and I just logged into WoW with ZERO problems and will definitely enjoy catching up on my favorite Blizzard game of all time. WoW rarely disappoints and never gets old. I will catch up on some D3 and PoE2 game play as well this weekened.
The problems with Diablo 4 are becoming way too ridiculous and ruining the game, and that is not good.
I can’t even login to the game on any server at all unless I try my luck and attempt to login 5 to 10 times or more, and this is NOT RIGHT OR ACCEPTABLE!
Diablo 4 - PTR 2.3.0 Update Possible Conflict Causing The Random Login Bug:
I believe this new D4 update that was just installed via Battle.Net is the reason for this problem, because before this I had ZERO problems logging into the Diablo 4 live server, but now I have a problem logging into both the D4 Live Server and the PTR 2.3.0 Server. Both logins go into the login screen and then it simply stays idle and after a few minutes the game crashes and closes! Awful!
I NEVER experienced this type of problem with Diablo IV or any Blizzard game, until now! So, this is definitely a problem bug issue on Blizzard’s end with possibly the latest game update for Diablo 4 and it needs to be looked into and fixed ASAP!
Basically, as I mentioned before I can’t login to ANY Diablo 4 game server now after noticing an update on Battle.Net earlier this evening at around 10:24PM EST. The game stays stuck in limbo land during the login screen where it says: Logging Into Diablo IV… and nothing happens for a few minutes and then the game suddenly crashes!
This issue was happening constantly and randomly when D4 PTR 2.3.0 launched, and now it’s happening in the D4 live game server as well! Not good!
BLIZZARD! What the hell is going on here with these damn connection problems for the past few days!?
Blizzard D4 Team, You really need to fix this damn connection bug problem in the game! I have always been able to login to the game minus some past minor connection issues on Blizzard’s part, but nothing like this! This is clearly not good! This core issue needs to be fixed ASAP! We didn’t pay all this money for Diablo IV and continue supporting the game so we can be stuck and not be able to actually login and play the game, Blizzard D4 Team and Management! This needs prompt attention, just like when you promptly nerf the hell out of fun in the game, well, make sure you fix this problem, soon!
PS - Pardon my disappointment with all of these problems with Diablo IV, but I hope you understand my concerns and the concerns of all D4 Players when problems and bugs like these happen in the game. I sincerely hope you fix and resolve this login issues promptly, and fix and improve the game overall in the best way possible and hopefully take the game out of Beta land.
Side Note: If I didn’t care or like the game, (Diablo IV), which I purchased nearly 2 years ago along with the expansion, as many players did, I wouldn’t post anything or share my experiences, feedback and suggestions to help Blizzard improve the game further.
With all that said, I am also writing to Blizzard / Microsoft Corporate about this and many other unresolved issues with the game since Diablo IV launched nearly 2 years ago. Hopefully, Diablo IV will get the love and attention it deserves and should have gotten a long time ago, especially for all D4 players who paid and continue supporting the game as I do.
