can you update the game without re-downloading over 50gb i have to download it again for the 17th time can you f.c.ing make it so that it doesn’t support 50gb simple question
There was no patch today. You’d have to have either a majorly corrupt set of files for it to download that much or you deleted the game folder or the high resolution assets and the Battle.net app is redownloading them (the game itself requires manual downloading, the assets, if deleted, will auto-download if you don’t uncheck “High Resolution Assets” in Settings > Game Settings > Diablo IV > Modify Install.
Regular patches don’t require huge downloads like that. Double check to make sure you didn’t do something that would force the Battle.net app to redownload the game or its high resolution textures.
Maybe the problem is on your end.
i think he is confusing the download with the patching process. you download like 500mb but then it applies that patch to the ~50gb game.
This sounds like a very specific problem. There’s no reason for anyone to be downloading 50gigs every patch. I don’t know what it is you’re doing, but something is definitely wrong.
Even the patching process doesn’t show that large a number. Ever. It will show only the size of the file(s) in total that it is patching, which is almost never the full game, just pieces of it. The OP has done something else that triggered a full download.
