I too witnessed the year of the infamous Blizzcon debacle. I too protested any participation in Diablo Immortal during development. But then Diablo IV came along and its inevitable fatigue quickly after.
I wanted to feed my AARPG craving and gave Lost Ark, Path of Exile, and Diablo Immortal a try.
I found myself enjoying Diablo Immortal more than Lost ark or Path of Exiles; and honestly if they never said that one infamous line, I think they might’ve been just fine… alongside that it would be released on other platforms… WHICH IT IS NOW.
If you’re burned out with Diablo IV but still want to be in the Diablo universe, I would definitely give Diablo Immortal a chance.

Wyatt Cheng, go away. No one likes you still.

Wyatt Cheng as spokesperson was a mistake.
Not announcing Diablo 4 alongside Immortal was a mistake.
Nope. Diablo Immortal is not a game, let alone worth playing. It is a monetization scheme with a “game” attached to it. By playing it, you are telling Blizzard that releasing things like that are okay.

It’s P2W. It’s not even a game. It’s unfortunate that it has so many better features than D4. But it doesn’t matter since P2W makes it unplayable.
How do you stretch NOOOOOOOOOOO out to 20 characters. It’s a predatory slot machine.

Remove P2W from the game and I will give it a chance.
I played it, it was fun, the P2W aspect is glaring when doing the immortals vs the shadows events tho.

I play it incredibly casually and only intend to experience the main campaign and move on. So I could care less about the p2w aspect of immortal. And the fact that it’s there’s no initial purchase doesn’t bother me too much that it’s more p2w later in end game.
I’ve played it, its very p2w. You can play for free and keep your head in the sand and its fine, but you will always be fairly weak. The legendary gems are just too powerful and cost a fortune.
Wrong. Not only is it a good mobile game, its the best mobile game out there.

I enjoyed DI campaign, I didn’t buy anything. Yes I got shoved with constant p2w popups, but I closed that thrash and played on.
I’ve played it. It seemed trash. That’s why almost everyone who played it quit. Including people who were real fans of the games and had spends even in the 100s of thousands of dollars.
The game was fun for 10-20 hours, then it went to total **** apparantly. I personally probably don’t recomend people try that game. The P2W in this game seemed totally insanely ridiculous.
