The game is literally unplayable after the update. It keeps crashing and even if it launched, it’s super lag. Seriously.

Currently dealing with the same thing. Updated about 15 minutes ago, have not been able to get in a game since.
edit: I’m back in, took around 20 minutes from start to finish but I didn’t do anything to fix it. Seemingly back end stuff.
edit 2: went to teleport to a town and game crashed. ggs lmao

I click play on battlnet app on my pc. I shows it is launching for about 5 second the reverts to play without starting. I have un-installed and re-installed still the same issue. I completely uninstalled again deleted d IV folder and reinstalled. Nothing fixed will not play. No Idea whats going on no tech support. At this point would like a refund and will play other games

Same issue here. Was able to play this morning with no issue. Then the update happened which my launcher seemed to install with no problem. I can log into the game, but I can only remain online for a couple minutes before my client goes unresponsive and I am forced to end process.

Played for like 4-5 hours today without any issues before patch. Now the game crashes with “Run out of memory” error after 4-5 minutes. Guess 32 GB of DDR 4 @4+ GHZ is not enough. LOLZ
Sometimes the game crashed with this error before, but not after 4-5 minutes in game. I mean WTF seriously?
I have no lag when I play though, but the game is unplayable in this state…
Sometimes teleporting also crashes it instantly after the latest patch…

The game has only gotten MORE unstable with this patch. Teleporting causing hard freezes and crashes. Entering a Helltide and the game frost for 20 seconds, and I died (not a big deal, just annoying). Also, pressing Tab or M to open the map is delayed by 3 seconds. Everything is just borked after today’s patch.

game goes to loading screen after i select a character. then it goes to a black screen and eventually crashes. I got a message saying my connection was lost 1 time out of the several times I tried to log on.

Been getting this issue as well. Usually occurs after playing for around an hour, then it starts lagging and sometimes eventually ends up crashing the pc completely. Seems to be worse if I tab out and back in. I have noticed when it locks up that GPU usage on the Nvidia overlay shows 100%.
Specs are:
7950X3D
64GB DDR5-6000
RTX 4090

Same. 2-4 second lag for everything, very herky jerky. Helltide nearly impossible as it gets worse there.

I thought it was just my PC. Since the update my computer has locked up, and forced restart three times. Has never happened to me before and I’ve been playing since launch.

That’s been happening to me randomly for all of Season 5, even with graphics card updates. Been playing since one of the D4 closed betas, and it’s only been doing it this season. D4 is a jank mess for a few weeks now, but definitely seems even worse after today’s patch. Devs have been silent on performance issues in S5, despite the MANY forum posts about hard game and even PC crashes this season. Very disappointing.

Performance is very poor since patch, Black screen GUI, Frozen D4.
I even had whole PC lock up once since patch. Hard reboot first time in… well honestly last time was when my GTX3090 died forever ago.

Lock up while on both character screen and loading screen after latest update.
Loading screens is also black so one is not sure if the the game freezed or not.
Sometimes it is sometimes it loads past black screen.
But once inside game extreme lag.
