Unplayable after patching

  • trying to load a toon = game freezes, unresponsive, then crashes
  • trying to start a new toon = game freezes at world loading screen, unresponsive, then crashes
  • breathing = game freezes, unresponsive, then crashes

this is what you get from a billion dollar company. PC up to date, latest GPU drivers.

I’m not sure how they’re expecting me to buy the expansion when my game is freezing all the time. I literally just died in a helltide 3 times back to back because the game freezes/hardlocks for about 3 seconds (my respawn point was within the same pack of mobs).

No way I’m buying expac and I doubt this’ll get fixed any time soon, it existed in S4.

same issue. New patch is good xD HIGH CPU usage sitting still and 100% when moving or open anything / click NPC xD

can play for about 2 minutes then disconnects. same bug as last season. sigh. I always looked forward to diablo. I will never buy another blizzard game again.

Make sure Diablo IV is set to high performance mode in your Windows Graphics settings.

my setting alway set all low. My Wife’ PC use AMD and her PC run diablo 4 about 30s then game freeze / not responding

Same thing here, patch yesterday seemed to make it unplayable for me everything until yesterday worked great

Happening to me as well. I can get to character select and the load screen but once it finishes loading I get a windows pop up for “Diablo 4 Retail is not responding”. Tried updating drivers, Bnet client and restarting pc.

Did fresh game install, did clean removal of nvidia drivers went back to 552.22 from another post and still no luck. Literally everything was fine until this patch yesterday.

Interestingly I can launch my barb in eternal realm just fine no issues at all. But everything in seasonal realm is freezing or crashing. I created a new character in seasonal realm and it sort of worked okay but still stuttering. My 59 rogue in seasonal is completely locked up now its like 30 seconds to open map or items

Unfortunately blizzard doesnt care so we wont ever see a post from them about the issue or how to fix it. Ive done everything suggested and it just doesnt work

Disabling crossplay working (slight better) for me for now

Yea I thought it was all resolved and immediately started the 5 second freezing and then 10 and then 30 second freezing. Hopefully patch soon with some fix otherwise just unplayable
