Unlocking Nightmare Dungeons on an Alt

Hey all, just wanted to give a quick tip for unlocking nightmare dungeons on your alt. Recently got my alt to WT3 and 50 and was very confused since I couldn’t craft sigils and had no available quests to unlock nightmare dungeons even though I wanted to get started on them.

After a while I realized I could craft some low level sigils on my main and put them in the storage so my alt could get started, which worked. But I just wanted to let people know since this is not intuitive at all and I think this is an oversight from Blizz since you should be able to craft them ON the alt. I could not find info on this anywhere since you are typically introduced to them once you finish the campaign. And anything I looked up just said you have to be 50+, finish the campaign and have WT3 unlocked.

I believe I got a quest to complete a nightmare dungeon at 51 and to do the sigil crafting at 52. And no way of doing them at 50 aside from transferring via storage or getting one to drop.

Hoping this saves someone some time once more people get started on alts.

Edit: TLDR: craft sigils on your main and use storage to transfer. Alts cannot craft them right away at 50 even in WT3.

So, to get the quest to craft sigils, you need a Tier 3 sigil to do it. To get sigils in the first place, need to do ToW or World Boss I think drops them.

Which is why I made the post, since on an alt you can bypass that by just crafting them on your main. Since, I was trying to get one to drop til it dawned on me I could just transfer one via storage. Just trying to save people some time on their alts.

Yup. Just complete a Tier 3 sigil. That is how sigil crafting unlocks for all characters.

Good to know, that’s not something that’s made very clear. Yet another feature that should probably just be shared for characters on the same realm that isn’t.

I was really confused as to why I didn’t have access on my alt and then I remembered having to do it for my main.

I initially crafted a sigil from my main and transferred to alt, afterwords I’ve picked up miltiple sigils within dungeons or ToW but I still cant craft sigils with my alt.
