Unique items different versions

Can anyone tell me whats exciting about finding different versions of a unique (non uber unique) in D4?

Who thinks its exciting itemization having:

Normal Unique item
Sacred Unique same item
Ancestral Unique same item

In D2 most items are crap but it means something if you find it while lvling and when you find the super rare items endgame (even some of them are crap). in D4 it just feels like whatever. A hack n slash game that forgot about itemization (I KNOW THEY ARE WORKING ON IMPROVING THIS) but didnt they test this before release?

I’m guessing you just starting playing D4. The big different between those unique listed is Item Power. High item power have higher affix numbers. And certain unique can only be Ancestral quality.

Played since beta, havent played S2 cause I didnt like playing Salvage/Sell Simulator.

You missed my point. I am talking about non uber uniques.

Its anticlimactic to find different versions of the same item no matter what. It completely removes the excitement of finding them. (Still talking about non-uber-uniques)

Are you saying you are finding a Normal version of Mother’s Embrace, then a Sacred, afterwards wonder if Ancestral version even exist?

This is the worst Itemization in an ARPG ever, that’s why Raxx, and everyone at MaxRoll and DM are solely responsible for what comes next. Remember that. This post will be referenced in the future.

They made the claim, and title. So what’s next is on them. Come at me schills~

Ancestral Exists, I know that it at least drops from Varshaun.

Sorry but I didn’t experienced that at several times . I found some items more interesting despite the power to be best rolled than their expectable value compared to same higher . For example a lidless wall item 862 with 15 % AS and a 924 one with 9,4 % AS ( which is terrible ) both upped 5 times . And I had other examples on uniques ( Howl from behind etc ) I made screenshots in past of my stash to show that .
What I can say is the only thing sure is with a high level item power you get a better flat armor value . But for affixes I won’t bet on that .

For sure I hope they go back to item rarity of D2 when getting those super rare drops actually means something.

So yes, this I agree with, the stats and rolls on the items should go higher as the quality of the item increases.
Dropping a normal Unique with better rolls than an ancestral one really makes little sense.

But, it is still important to have its normal, sacred and ancestral variations so that, as you level up, you can equip the Unique relevant to your build.

Its still a unique item with a unique property… Stats differ in other ARPGs as well… So I dont really understand your point at all.

Yes there is a difference from item1 to item2. That is the case for every item in this game…
