Can we safely uninstall the ‘Server Slam’ files to get some space back, or do we need them for to play on the actual release day? If kept, will they be overridden and unnecessary files removed?

In all fairness we thought that last time and they applied an update to the beta to make it server slam. However I don’t think that will be the case for server slam to full release.

On the battlenet they show as two separate downloads, so in my opinion we can uninstall the beta one.

It isn’t that farfetched, maybe keeping the files would mean a shorter download time when the game is live.

I’m going to uninstall because I’m on Fiber Optic, it won’t matter much.
All fresh files could prevent weird issues from occurring.

Nothing carries over from the beta except the specific three beta achievements with their rewards.

The Play button is literally changed to ‘Uninstall’, pretty sure they want us to remove it.

The overwhelming majority of the time any pre release data for a game will not be useful for the actual release. Its a safe bet that that will be the case here too.
Unless you have data caps, a fresh install would be the best idea anyway even if you could keep this around and just patch it.

Lucky you, I have to push packets in manually for better speed occasionally.
No files will be removed. Dont be scared to lose your trophy if you uninstal. Its all saved at the blizzard servers in their cloud. You can uninstal without any trouble. You gain the pup and the horse at launch
You have a friend or relative on a better connection? Take you computer there for the download? Don’t think you will have IP address issues when you get back.

You will not keep the characters, we all start fresh at launch.
WoW shares most of it’s files between different versions of the game, so it’s possible that D4 might also have a smaller download if you keep the beta installed.
