Something that annoys me. I had read about the goblin even was coming again. And i was happy it came back. When i discovered the goblin mount early this year i had a goal. Hunt goblins till i have the mount. Before i chased them and found max 3 on a map and the minutes nothing. And then a virtual dream came true. They gave us a goblin event. So i thought now i can hunt them nonstop. For me the first one. That time i hunted and killed goblins for 7 days. Nearly did nothing else besides killing goblins. But in the end i realised that the event was nearly over and if i didnt loot the mount i would feel bad. And it did. Back then i ran around and didnt saw goblins that often anymore and then i saw the event buff was gone. I felt empty. Spend 7 days hours of killing them without the mount.
Second time the event was there. I didnt want to waste a whole week again on something with such a low droprate so i only did a few hours. And again no mount for me. I felt my accounts rng is bugged because i also grinded boss summoning mats without looting any shako’s. I remember a patchnote mentioned that shako’s can by then drop from lvl 55+ mobs. I got very happy with that news. But after all its just a mythe. No shako obtained. I started to hate the game.
I then saw they introduced VoH. I said for myself that i will only buy the expansion if i loot the goblin mount and/or a shako. But nope. Nothing. So i quit the game and started playing world of warcraft again after a year break and therefor 7 years break. But i al done with wow and i cant game with mouse much anymore. Before i get a new good bureau chair. And because i dont want pain i choose for xbox or playstation controller games to play. If i game.
So now i saw the game announced another goblin event and i thought. Why not. I will try it again. I heard that PoE2 loot is worse then diablo 4. And bad rng is the main reason why i quit. And i dont like challenging games. So a few days ago i played some diablo 4 again. And today the goblin event buff appeared. I started running around through a few maps. But no goblins, i then mouse over on the icon and i saw the name nahantu. I instantly thought about VoH map. So went to youtube. And indeed its a VoH map. So i started running around more. After 30 or 45 minutes i think i only found 4 goblins max. This is not a buff. This is the normal rate without the buff. So this is a huge disappointment for me.
I mean. The base game did not get the goblin buff. Seems that the fun ends here for me. Do they really expect me to first spend 40 euro on an expantion from a game i hated because bad luck. On a mount that i farmed for days/weeks? Its like gambling away 40 euro because its the only option to farm goblins again. without certainty i am not buying the expanion. This is a very nasty move. I liked the game first few months.
The goblin events leave me very frustrated, since I keep looking for them but never find them, and now I have to have the VoH for this event, it sucks.
Its ridiculous. They dont make quality they just stop base game contend so hope that players buy expansion.
The same in call of duty. MwII is bad. Call of duty black ops 6 is bad. But they abandoned the older good titles like mw2019, vanguard and call of duty cold war. Games i paid for and are not safe to play anymore on pc. But i dont buy the new titles.
I wish i was famous to be able to let the devs change the event buff so its good for everyone. Streamers are the advertisement for the game. The so loved streamers got everything from the diablo 4 devs. Gifts. And much more. And their lovely streamers just move to am other arpg named PoE2. And their true diablo 4 fans stay in the game and what do we get? A middlefinger and we have to buy the expansion to be able to do what we want.
No argument here, best thing you can do is to not pay for the products and to never associate with them in anyway. Including using their own forums, talking about them on social media, watching youtube videos that involve the products, etc. You have to completely ghost the company.

Yes its gated behind expansion because the normal rate is a few goblins a map. And thats now also or even worse. Saw only 4 in 30 to 45 minutes. While back then with the buff a few every few seconds. And sometimes more at the same time.
So that means only expansion owners see them often in normal sanctuari also. I dont have the expansion. And i am a die hard goblin hunter. If i can give it a name.
True. But to keep your customers you dont have to be greedy. I grew up to hate greed. Greed is not a good thing. Ending game features from base game or whatever is a bad move.
They saw the hype from PoE2 and the lead didnt expect that. He can change that by let the ppl that stay in diablo 4 having fun. But if they choose to be greedy then that few also move away.
My next game will be a game without much rng in it. Because rng is a main reason to destroy someones fun. But i just tried the game again, maybe i would loot the mount. You never know.
I wont give them money. Its simple. They give me some virtual items and i pay their products. Thats the fun. But they choose me to waste my time on grinds for nothing and i move away. So rng is killing their playerbase. Only ppl who dont care about their life time keeps grinding. And the very lucky ppl ofc. If i dont get a shako within 30 duriel kills thats my limit.
