go to the keep on top of the available map. There is a zone with lvl 25 mobs and boss. And its not downscaling.
The same people that keep saying druid is fine, fun, not underpowered and that its lack of player skill are going to be the ones that quit playing druid first. Months down the line they will keep their mouths shut because they were wrong now and dont care becaue they will be playing a sourcer.
i just killed the butcher staying in melee range the entire time. I’ve never done that before. werewolf druid.
Having a blast as a full on rabies werewolf poision damaging beast right now.
I wonder if some of these people are the same as the geen equals better folks. If you don’t read your skills and item affixes, and just pick whatever and go for green, you are going ro have a hard time.
Yes, I went full wearbear build first up and was disappointed. When you realize that there is 1 skill in each category, you are fixed in your “bear build” and it doesnt have too much synergy either, but ok there are surely more skill coming over the seasons
I think you mis counted. We have 6 total slots for abilities. I think you need gear as well. I will agree on the ravens they seem to bug out a bit and not passively swoop to attack, it worked flawlessly last night for me til i tried to show off to a friend it didnt want to work passively only the active portion would work.
from what i read in this thread it seems so XD so much hate for druid, but ez kill boss in 11 seconds on 25
Sorc is super overtuned on survival (fine with damage, except hydra which needs somewhat of a nerf but survival wtf)… Actually would like to see a rework on Ice Shards (should be more of a “shotgun” than a “minigun” IMO so not every build/skill early on is a projectile, but that’s kinda late now)
Druid is super tanky but super terrible (especially on single-target damage)… Feels like playing Chen Stormstout from HotS, and I mean the earliest versions where nothing dies via direct hits or targetting, but stuff die slowly by just being “there”… It’s like playing a character from another game in which each skill being AoE-first or sth… I played a Storm Druid with double companions and it’s basically everything around you can’t move to hit you but you can’t hit anything either
Necro is super overtuned AF early on but once hit lvl20 that advantage goes quite rapidly down, think Bone Splinters is the huge one, for example kinda started dying to bosses with Reap about that time until shifted to Bone Splinters and thereon no problems further
Rogue is BY FAR the best both in power and diversity of builds class IMO, ofc. not all of them can be the Rogue but I’m simply loving what I see (well, except Poison trap maybe, that thing does really too much without even investment in it that even if your build sucks a single point of poison trap will redeem that)
Barb is something that I kinda didn’t manage to play (at least for now) and don’t think that can do much with the Barb except maybe kill the first boss until weekend timer goes out
One more thing - think that they did kinda decent job actually regarding the primary stats (it’s just that they quite literally start being noticeable barely at lvl25, say a bow that has ~50 Dex for ex.)
The amount of threads I’ve seen you basically post the same comment about ‘no-skill players who need streamers’ is staggering. Did you have a failed attempt to become relevant on Twitch or something, because you clearly have a deep loathing for all of them.
On topic though, people are allowed to call out the weaknesses of a class in the hopes of improvement for their own experience. Having fanboys hitting every thread with ‘this is fine, everything is fine’ is what actually hurts the game.
I also leveled all classes and no, Druid is not on-par with the other classes. Sorry.
Find me some threads started with the topic of Sorc or Necro being underpowered and weak. I’ll wait.
Everyone has seen games turn into crap because devs listened to whiners.
One thing has been made EXTREMELY clear during this Beta - ARPG “Veterans” are unable to create builds on their own.
I’m leveling a second Druid now, this time as a Shapeshifter focus since I level’d without using Shapeshifting on my last one.
Still not seeing the problem that people are having with the class. The more I play it, the more I like it.
I usually lean towards sorcerer/wizard types, and had ton of fun with both a melee and ranged rogue. But I am increasingly thinking druid will be my first character when the game launches.
I’m still committed to rolling Rogue first. It’s just the most fun I’ve had with the game so far and Rogue fits the aesthetic of finesse combat character that I like in my RPGs.
But I’ve been enjoying every class I’ve played so far in this beta except for the Necromancer which just isn’t my class and never has been.
I’ve level’d 2 Rogues to 25, 1 of every other class and this is my second Druid. Aside from just not knowing what the Spirit Boons are and wishing I could test them, I don’t have any complaints.
Rogue was really solid on both melee and ranged sides. I know I will have at least one.
Apparently something in my makeup makes me seek out stupid, off the course things to do with classes. If there were a melee option for Sorcerer, I would probably be there. So small wonder I went with a non-shapeshifting, melee druid. But to be fair, he does lean heavily on companions, hurricane, and boulder.
that’s my first Druid and he absolutely slaps at 25 especially after getting some really nice Legendaries from Ashava.
My non-shapeshifting Druid: Storm Strike, Landslide, Wolves, Ravens, Vine Creeper, Earth Bulwark.
Shapeshifting Druid: Claw, Shred, Blood Howl, Earth Bulwark, Wolves, Rabies.
Ahh, fellow depraved thinker!
Yeah, got a bunch of legendaries off Ashava last night and I am a boulder rolling fiend. Got the legendaries that:
- Turn Boulder into a Core skill and increase its damage by up to 200% on an amulet/100% otherwise
- Increase the damage of Core skills by up to 50% based on use of Basic skill (7% per)
- Increase the crit damage of Core skills when using Storm skills
- Increase the damage of Core skills by 7.5% for each active companion
- Gain an additional companion
Agree. I am hoping the Class Quest and Unlock will maybe open the class up and make it more soloable and fun but currently it’s a slog to play druid. I have been playing with the skills available and limits of level 25 but it shouldn’t take hating your character from level 1-50 before you find the fun or usability of it. The druid is a perfect example of “spreadsheet managers”. On paper, the stats and scalability look decent but the actual truth and application of it is a miserable experience.
You must have goten luck with legenderys…
It really seems to me there is a general lack of understanding of the affixes and synergies.
