I’ve been solo running Undercity for many hours in the last week. Not a single loot goblin spawned. I do full clear runs, and speed runs. Nothing seems to matter. I’ve run mostly with Tributes of Refinement/Titans/Harmony and I’ve done a couple no-tribute runs. I’ve used various bargains and no bargains. Either I have the worst RNG, or something is bugged with solo runs. The moment I join a group, a loot goblin spawns. Noting that in that hour long group run, there were only a few loot goblins spawning, but still… they spawned.
Just wanted to poke the community to see if they noticed this, or if my RNG decided to ninja poop… for many hours?
Was just talking to a buddy about this the other day. We used to do a lot of Rotas. Roughly 1 in 5 runs would contain a goblin. Now I only see one roughly every 30 or so runs. It really sucks, because you used to at least be able to regain some of the tributes you were spending, which sadly isn’t the case any more.
Not sure what patch it was, but this goblin “change?” appeared after one of the patches a week or two ago.
Blarg! Mayhaps this is to be filed under, “oops” or “unintended”. It might explain some posts of players complaining of next to impossible chances of getting the cosmetics from the Undercity. What makes groups difficult is that everyone is focused on completion instead of finding the gobbies. I’ve read that the cosmetics drop from the gobbie chests more so than the main chest.
I’ve only run Undercity a handful of times (under 10) and just got a gobble on a solo run for the first time. I know that doesn’t fix your issue, just wanted to chime in that they do still exist; so if something changes, it’s a lower% chance, not 0%.
Hmm… do you happen to remember what Torment level you were playing, and tributes/bargains you used? I’ll try lower tiers to see if that changes anything. Thank you for your feedback!
It was definitely T4, but I’m not sure about the tribute anymore. It was either Tribute of Radiance (Resolute) + Passive Ranks or Skill Ranks Bargain or the one time I used a Tribute of Mystique (+ More Jewelry Bargain) for lower tier runes.
Would be interesting if it was the latter and the rarity of the tribute affected anything; I’m assuming people aren’t running lower tier tributes as much as the actually good ones.
Agreed , I was thinking about this the other day and I have yet to see a Goblin in player 1
