Unbelievable this is the new game

You know… I’ve literally played this game daily, since it’s release. I have 2900 hours of gameplay since launch, that’s having a full time job too.

You have absolutely destroyed this game… Every single season I stomp the hell out of it. It’s always fun to me, but whatever this new progression is, is completely unmotivating, and not in any way fun.

I had my week at work, been chipping away at some progress, I’m paragon 160 or something. It’s just absolute torture to try and get a build going at all, it’s nuts, and it’s becoming so frustrating that I don’t even wanna play it. You completely broke the game, these changes are not good at all.

It’s hard to even tell where to start to get the proper progress for my character. T2 is too easy, and he ain’t ready for T3.

I spend most of my time exhausted of all my resources mats for masterworking and enchanting, it just burns me out. Spend so much time to get just enough for 1 upgrade and it’s driving me nuts.

Then I get this guy who’s like “hey man I’ll take u to T4 and do some boss runs so you can get some of the things you need to have fun” I was like… “Ok”…

Dude this guy just blast through this thing in half a second, one shot the boss… And I literally just went back to character select, shut the game off, and have lost every single ounce of motivation to play this game…

I’m sitting here struggling to just get any kind of weight ahead of T2 and I just don’t know what to even do to try to have fun. It killed it for me.

Then I watch this video of Rob… Of course he’s got like 4 star everything in every slot showcasing this Spiritborn crap. Blasting things for 1 trillion and 700 billion, the numbers are just overlapping you can’t even read them and I’m just like “what…the…hell… Did they do to the game”

Whatever he just showed, dude you can’t fix that… This game is completely broken, and I’m not even 7 days into this expansion and season and I’m just straight up done… I can’t believe how this game plays, the progression is too demanding, and this new class just literally made whatever they did to the game, unfixable…

After spending a whole year playing, I can’t believe the expansion killed this game for me, and it really pisses me off right now, because I don’t really have anything to play, and I’m not playing this stupid game or this dumb boring new Spiritborn crap.

I’m like literally just sitting here in the worst blank unemotional stare right now, in disbelief of how much they ruined something that I loved.

The worst thing they did was limit you to 5 paragon boards including the starter.

I pre ordered the game when D4 came out I almost bought the expansion. To the above author I agree season 4 and 5 were fun improvements. Once I saw the changes for season 6 and the rune words sadly I wasn’t motivated. I have approx 600 hours in base game. Maybe will see how thing shape up for season 7-8 before giving the expansion a shot.

It’s about all you can do. Let these people who think this grindfest is “fun” knock themselves out for 3 months in an empty world by themselves. I’ll come by next season to see whether they actually fix it.

Nah, this was one of the only good changes. Dipping in and out of boards to stack multiplicative dmg modifier glyphs is dumb. Why have these big boards if the meta is to put minimal points into them.

But it would have been better to just get rid of multiplicative dmg modifiers altogether. 90% of the imbalances between classes and builds are caused by multiplicative dmg mods.

I agree that the wall can be steep to jump into T4 (and maybe T3 for you as well)

but it’s not the spiritborn that’s the problem here. every season from vanilla launch had classes that blasted for trillions dwarfing other classes a hundredfold. every class had it’s turn, now the spiritborn gets a season or two.

some classes and builds could use buffs, and ancestral and rune droprate is big time scuffed.

Agreed! SpiritBorn is too strong compared to other classes, when joining in activities in the game together like Legion, Helltides Maidon or RealmWalker, I mostly just run after them for fun and SpiritBorn kills the rest. Nothing for me to play.

I could choose SpiritBorn for my start, but the difference is too big so I don’t want to just press 1 or 2 buttons and win the game. And you know, SpiritBorn is everywhere and it looks like a Nahantu invasion of other regions… :grin:

The balance in D4 has always been a serious problem and I don’t know when it will be truly solved.

Yes. I agree. I hate doing open world content because I know some evade Spiritborn will show up and clear the whole screen while using their free-spinning mouse wheel macro. I end up just standing around cuz even if I run to swing my hammer at something the mob will be dead before I can even get to it. If you’re not Spiritborn, go jump off a bridge, that’s the message the devs are sending to us

Hands down the worst season ever.

Not to mention they put progression that was part of the base game behind the expansion so you have to buy that just to have what you did in S1-S5.

Nerfed every class build and class down and made the spiritborn super OP. Defiantly not trying to sell expansions before PoE2 comes to market.

A cash grab that hurt the integrity of the game and the majority are oblivious to it.

you can try another game meanwhile, D2 Resurection for example, still solid game, or else some diablo-like like Grim Dawn (a bit dated but still fun), Hades and Hades II (not played but good reviews), Last Epoch (seems good now), or wait for Path of Exile 2 and Titan Quest 2 that will comes in november.

You’re not wrong. Problem is damage doesn’t scale in a way that makes players feel like they are getting more powerful without multipliers. The bigger issue is too much complexity so they can’t ever truly test. Players ask for complex, interesting build options but then metas inevitably emerge.

SB is totally broken. I’m running quill volley, and yeah, it’s like S1 and S2 HotA. I’m sure they’ll nerf evade (likely before I find the required staff) but I doubt they’ll mess with quill volley much.

Ok, spend the same amount of time he does playing. I hate streamers but what do I care what they are doing, why do you feel you need to be like them with 1/100th amount of the time spent playing.

yep, PoE2 is looking amazing, 15 novembre for the Early Access :slight_smile: And not forget Titan Quest 2, looks promising too :slight_smile: There will be a Grim Dawn expansion too in november. So we don’t have to wait that long for a new arpg that shouldn’t crash our dear PC :slight_smile:

Still waiting for a fix so game is not crashing.

Sure they can. Inscrease the bonus dmg for putting points into abilities and passives and add more abilitiy/passive modifiers to gear - like plus 2 to certain ability. There are plenty of ways that don’t rely on stacking multiplicative dmg.

It’s almost like “Bait and Switch” I’m lucky to get a two GA, And these streamers start off with a 4 star general. They did not earn either. This is the first time i have buyer’s remorse buying a Blizzard product. Such a let down.
