I am currently in World Tier IV of Diable IV. In the previous World Tier I completed the tree for allocating Paragon Ability Points. Since starting the upper World Tier, I have more than 20 unspent points but cannot find anywhere to allocate them. Does anyone know what can be done to take advantage of these points and abilities to increase my character’s strengths and abilities? I tried Technical Support, but they had no suggestions other than to try here on the Forum. Thank you advance for any advice.

Perhaps you have the 20 points available from completing renown in the past, but you current character hasn’t reached level 50 yet?
You need to attach multiple boards. Depending on your build there are usually 4 or 5 additional boards that will helpful.

Click the portcullis looking icon at the edge of the board…
We’re not talking brain science or rocket surgery here.
On the edge of the primary board, there should be a node that indicates that it is a gate. If you allocate a paragon point to it and hover over it, an option to attach a new board should appear. You’ll have 8 boards to select from initially, each with different nodes and legendary abilities you can unlock. Select one that fits your playstyle.
Once you select a board, you’ll see a preview of the board attaching. You can rotate the board before deciding to attach it. This will allow you to get to the nodes you want quicker. Once you attach the board, the appropriate gate will fill for free. The new board will have up to three additional gates which you can attach future boards.
