Unable to use ability From time to time Need to leave the game and re-enter to fix
All abilities not usable ( Unable to attack or teleport Or use any other ability )
So far leaving the game and re-entering is seems to fix it It is not optimal But at least it’s something Usually happens entering dungeons Or going through portals

I had the same issue on PC. It happened after leaving a safe area but was quite far away, 6 or 7 screens beyond the entrance.
(It also didn’t give the error message “I can’t use that ability here.” So it isn’t that, exactly.)
Going back to town didn’t fix the issue, I had to close the game.
I also experienced this bug.
Was in the Elias boss fight dungeon and after clearing the 1st encounter I could not use any abilities. The HUD would respond as if the buttons were being pressed, the only abilities button that worked was the Potion button. Evade, Town Portal, Left click, Right click, and 1 through 4 would not work at all. Again pressing the buttons would show the button getting pressed in the HUD, but none of the abilities would go off - and I was not CC’ed. Since I was playing Necro I actually managed to get through several encounters with just minions and eventually got to the last encounter and put the boss down to 30% before all my minions died and I couldn’t kill (golem respawn clutch). Mouse clicks did work for movement and interacting with the map when I brought it up (both left and right click).
Other things I tried to regain abilities working:
Caps lock on/off
Alt tab between multiple applications/windows and back to D4.
Going to Settings and changing the input mode for the primary mouse button then saving.
Yep this is getting old fast. Been happening for years you would think they would figure this out.
1.was fighting went into a cut scene came out and bam no keyboard use. Really? i literally did nothing but watch a video from you.
2. standing in town went to the bathroom came back Bam no keyboard.
3. Repeat for any situation you can think of there is no rhyme or reason for this and it is the only game i i have ever played that does this. So pretty sure it’s not my hardware.
Its really crazy that this is a common bug for a 90+ bucks pay to play early game and considering how long this was in developpment … This bug happened to me in Hardcore while being cases by a teleporting elite and the slow aura flies soo obv that is very frustrating. Just surprised that it isnt really voiced out by the bigger content creators (atleast the only i watch). So just leaving this here these things dont surprise me about Blizzard (which was loved) anymore its just unfortunate cause the base game is good but aye blizzard living up to its rep of the recent years.
I’ve had this happen to me twice.
First in the middle of the battle with the Lillith’s Lament Boss in Act I.
Second in the middle of the battle with Airidah, Keeper of the Dead in Act II.
Both times all keyboard controls stop working. Only left mouse button works.
Which leaves me with out health potions, skills on buttons 1-4, the ability to evade.
