Randomly and a lot I am unable to move my character after a dodge. Nothings in the way and it doesn’t happen all the time or to the same extent. Sometimes it starts moving after a short delay other times the character won’t move unless I perform another dodge. Trying to get away from a mob of enemies is impossible when I keep get stuck after dodging.
I’m having the same problem on PC. Playing necro. It happens most frequently after casting blight or corpse explosion miasma.
What class are you playing?

Druid. It seems to happen when I dodge out of a group of enemies after i was casting Lightning Storm.

Necromancer here…
I am experiencing this issue as well.
Upon dodging (Circle button on PS5) the character seems to stutter or stop completely and will not continue moving for 1 to 2 seconds when it stutters, or not at all when it full stops until I port out of the area or dodge again in a direction it will allow. This also seems to affect the Necromancers minions… as I see many of them just stop moving and lag a screen behind at times. It is far more noticable with the Skele-Mages. This needs a hotfix ASAP!

So it seems like a bug tied to animations. Like the game is processing multiple animations at once instead of one animation being cancelled.
I found a couple other threads with necromancers having the same problem and they mentioned decompose specifically. It is entirely possible it’s happening to me while I use decompose, too. My conclusion is that it’s tied to channeling skills, since it happens to you with lightning storm.
Channeling skills + dodge = slow dodge recovery animation. Hopefully the blues see this and fix it asap. I’ve died several times because of it and I planned on rolling a lightning storm druid for s1 hardcore. I won’t be doing that if it isn’t fixed.

Huh… sounds legit. I’m having the same issue with my own druid. And it does appear to be after a cast of lightning storm.
I just went out and replicated this to see if it’s the problem, and it definitely is. If you’re channeling, and you dodge at the right (wrong) time, your character will be stuck for about a second. Hopefully this gets fixed. I’ve had a few deaths because of this exact thing.
EDIT: I’m also on PC, so this seems to be a general issue with the game itself.

Also having this problem on PC, playing druid. I dont use lightning skills, but earth ones instead. Seems to happen after landslide and pulverize tectonic spikes.

Same issue, but ONLY happens on my Rogue… it also happens about 10% of the time when using a Core skill… and ONLY core skills. use ability from keyboard, left click to move, rogue takes 2 steps in a COMPLETELY random direction, uses the same core ability again without any touch on the keyboard, then locks spinning in place…

yeah this is horrible its caused me a few deaths blizzard needs to fix this issue so im not forced to play another class

Same issue for me on PC playing Druid after dash I can left click in the menu but cannot use left click to move until I dodge again and then left click to move works again…

Okay it’s nice to see some validation I’ve been yelling about this in discord for weeks playing a storm Druid, I actually found increasing the cooldown of lighting abilities has made it worse it now happens every few dodges and it makes the game almost unplayable in higher tiers.
I’m also using a ps5 controller on pc and also add if they could implement dualsense edge support that would be nice, I’ve been using the standard ps5 controller though. I haven’t tried with the series x controller but I could try and replicate it with that.

Im guessing its channeling as well. Im using barb, when i try to dodge out of whirlwind it happens all the time.

same issue. been experiencing this since early access. i’ve died so many times to this now, especially in PvP which is infuriating. when will this be fixed, or at least addressed?

++ , happens to me too , on rogue i get stuck after using barrage too often forcing me to use a dodge to unlock myself

Same exactly for me. I also noticed that after becoming stuck, left click continued casting lightning storm strangely.

I’m also having this issue. It has got me killed a few times and it’s starting to drive me up a wall. When playing the lower levels under 65 it wasn’t a big deal. But now in WT4 running high tier dungeons it’s becoming a big problem.

Yup, it does happen. Druid, Lightning Storming when suddenly a dodge is needed. Then I am standing there, unable to move at all for a couple seconds.

PC necro (if it even matters) player, happens to me all the freakin time.
I can never reproduce it outside of combat, which makes me think some sort of animation is being interrupted and causing an issue when using a skill and dodging, or getting hit and dodging.
I can still use skills and turn in place, i just cannot move until the dodge cooldown has come back and i can do another dodge.
