Is there a limit to this, or a bug or something? I want to level the expertises on my character other than my main, for example one-handed mace expertise. I equipped two one-handed maces and was using frenzy, but it didn’t seem to be leveling. I unequipped my two handed weapons and unsocketed emeralds from my armor (thinking maybe thorns damage killing enemies was messing with it), but that didn’t work. So I respec’d again into whirlwind, made triple sure that it was using my maces, and it still won’t make any progress. I even unequipped ALL my armor, weapons, and jewelry and it still won’t level. I can’t find anything else about this - is it a bug or am I missing something?
Edit: I’m able to gain two-handed weapon expertise very slowly, but not one-handed expertise.
Is it only 1h maces that dont work? Might check it after work if its bugged
One-handed maces, axes, and swords don’t seem to work, or maybe they just gain XP extremely slowly, slower than two handed weapons.
I’m not sure if you gain expertise only from specific skills or not, but last night I was definitely not gaining axe xp for Death Blows. I checked it multiple times.
Just checked, maces work for me. Using frenzy for it. It is slow though.
try equippoing 2 maces swords or axes then using lunge and whirlwind. make sure each ability is set to use those weapons.
Your skills will automatically use the choice with the highest DPS. However if you go into your skills tab, click tab assignment, you can cycle the weapon for each skill using those weapons.
You probably don’t have the weapons assigned to the skill you’re using.
Here’s a trick for all of you:
Equip whatever weapon you’re trying to level, and set WW to use that weapon. Go to the training dummy, set it to multiple targets, and WW for about 30 seconds.
Level 10 ez pz.
