So I was reading the treads “How to fix Sorc” and “Tal Rasha’s is killing Sorc” and got an idea.
In the tread “How to fix Sorc” people are saying that Sorc needs more jewelry slots and the third enchantment slot back. I disagree, the current aspects and enchantment options are not gonna solve our problem even if we add a few more slots in both.
And in the tread “Tal Rasha’s is killing Sorc” the discution is how we are forced to use this ring and how it limits our skills selection. With this one I agree, we have almost no synergy between skills and Tal Rasha’s makes things worst.
So my idea is to add a new type of Enchantment that will provide a little damage boost and more synergies between skills and passives to improve build variety.
This Ultimate Enchantment Slot would be a third slot and it would only be able to receive 1 of the ultimates skills. You would be able to equip any of the 3 ults in it even without spending points in the skill it self.
They would all follow this same pattern, with some differences.
Inferno: All your equiped skills are also considered Pyromancy skill, benefits from Fire Damage Bonuses and can trigger Fire Damage related effects. Damage applies 50% Burning Damage over 3 seconds, only one effect per enemy at time.
Unstable Currents: All your equiped skills are also considered Shock skill, benefits from Lightning Damage Bonus and can trigger Lightning Damage related effects. Critical Damage generates 3 mana and has a 10% chance to reduce the cooldown of one of your skills.
Deep Freeze: All your equiped skills are also considered Frost skills, benefits from Cold Damage Bonus and can trigger Cold Damage related effects. Enemies that hit you are Chilled for 10% every second for 3 seconds, this effect can stack 5 times and have its duration reseted with each attack. Bosses receive max stacks at once.
Empty Slot: You deal 10%x increase damage, gain 10%x increase Intelligence and have 30% increase Crowd Control and Conjuration Duration.
With this I hope to facilitated the combination between skills, passives, aspects, glyphs, paragon nodes and uniques.
I like the idea behind but i don’t like the execution. There must be an other solution then keep a slot unequipped, also i don’t like to be “forced” to put Tal Rasha into my ring slot. We need other solutions for this “problem”.
Yes i agree… i posted a simple idea that can fix this… (link below)
Just making a power gem that you can extract a unique (at lvl 3) or you can choose to have multiple aspects enchanted onto the gem (up to 3 different aspects at lvl3)
I have many other great system ideas as well that ive posted like
fusing spells…
Skill tier upgrades to all…
book of enchantments where you can do a huge skill customization like up to 20 aspects and skills to enhance build creativity…
And more…
you are contradicting yourself.
Two more ring slots means two more aspects to mix with, also.
100% of builds only have Tal’rasha and luckily Ring of Starless Skies.
Two more ring slots not only will add more multiplicative damage from aspects, but also more build variety.
3rd enchantment slot is also important as they will help with the synergies.
The only thing I don’t agree with is to use focus and staff at the same time.
extra ring slots will help with the already l;ow damage with the extra aspects, something that Barbarian and Rogue benefit from a lot.
otherwise not only we will need a 3rd enchantment slot, but also increase the base damage and the paragon Glyphs as well…
the main sorcerer problem is damage and lame skills with ridiculous time, high cooldowns and mediocre % of triggering
Seriously speaking, the only way to deal damage is the 3-element aspect (or something like that) which creates a dagger every 3 seconds. And of course, in season 7, there are the cheating effects of the season.
Without them, unfortunately, the lightning wizard not only does not deal damage, but is also unable to survive. Perhaps you consider yourself so useless at the very beginning.
I think the first step would be to give the wizard another 10 health potions, he still gets one-shot in 90% of cases.
Heres a system i proposed to help with build synergies for every class. The limited aspect slots is a bit rediculous…
Even on barb who has the most slots.
Sorc doesn’t need more item slots. It is the Barb and lesser extent rouge classes design.
What Sorc needs is fixing our enchantment system, dealing with inherit anti-synergy in our skill tree, and in general looking at the Sorc aspects and unique.
Tal-Rasha being an awful is an additional problem.
Yeah, agreed, more items slots feels unnecessary.
There are better ways to solve this problem (my idea is not a good example).
I just would like to see all the enchantments be more like the Basic Skill Enchantments, to do stuff more generic and usefull than just a condition to cast the respective skill.
Image Fireball enchantment dealing a base area damage of the element that kill the enemy instead of just been a Fireball explosion. Or Frozen Orb Enchantment casting one of your equiped core skill instead of casting it self.
Each enchantment would still be themed around a condition, but the effect would reflect what you doing in your build.
